Our children learn from us.  If we do certain things, our children will respond in a fairly predictable manner.  If is, "a word to introduce a possible or unreal situation or condition."   In this episode, Harriett gives you "ifs" to do and "ifs" not to do.

You have boundaries and others may challenge them.  It is up to you to communicate and follow through with your boundaries so that your child can learn how to set healthy boundaries and how he/she should respond when others infringe upon his/her boundaries.

Harriett's experience growing peppermint showed her how peppermint without boundaries reinforces the need for children to have boundaries, and the right kind of boundaries.
