This week on Punch Up, I got to sit down (and eat sushi) with one of my all-time favorite comedians, Shanel Hughes. Shanel Hughes is a Denver comic and proud parent, and we discussed their experience as both an out lesbian and black performer navigating punching up in their own content and the importance of finding the communities that celebrate you and your work.
