Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath?  Jesus is confronted by the Pharisees with this question in today's passage, and His answer to them is not what they were hoping for.  How will it affect us?

Who is sovereign over all things, including creation, salvation, and well, all things?  Jesus is, and He exerts His sovereign position in today's passage.  And, wow...what a passage!

Jesus gives some very specific teaching on the dangers of not repenting to the cities where He performed most of His miracles.  His words are vitally important to us today as well.

Ever struggle with doubt in your life?  Ever doubt God?  Well, you're in good company.  Today's message shows John the Baptist in a moment of doubt, and how Jesus addresses that doubt.

Jesus finishes up His discourse in Matthew 10 by calling for ultimate affection from His disciples, and assuring them and those who aid them of rewards.  

Jesus prepares His men today and encourages them to not be afraid of persecution, to proclaim His words, and prepare for eternal judgment.

Jesus gets down to gut level with His disciples as He sends them out for their first mission.  His warnings are still applicable to us today.

Jesus is sending His men out and He briefs them on what they are take, and how they will be cared for.  He also prepares them for part of what to expect.  

We can casually read the list of the twelve disciples and treat it as common knowledge.  But why did Jesus choose these men?  Was there an agenda?  How did it turn out?  We look at that in this message.    

Jesus is moved with compassion and prepares His men for movement in today's message from Matthew 9:35-38.

Jesus elicits different responses from different people in different situations.  Today, we see two miracles and three different responses.  Which one is like yours?    

Jesus displays His power over both physical and spiritual death in today's message.      

Jesus didn't come to fit into your religious system.  He illustrates that in this message.    

Jesus states His purpose in coming as He calls Matthew the hated tax collector to be His disciple.  He has come to seek and to save sinners.  Are we following His example?    

Which is harder?  To say your sins or forgiven or to say rise up and walk?  Jesus addresses this today in a powerful way. 

Jesus comes in contact with two men who are demonized.  How will He respond?  How will they respond?  

Doesn't it seem like God doesn't care sometimes when we're going through problems and trials?  The disciples run into just such an incident in today's passage.  Jesus takes a nap in their storm.  But then...well, just listen and find out.

Jesus has all authority and commands His disciples to follow Him.  Can it be any other way?  We explore two examples today.        

How do we handle authority?  How did Jesus address it?  He was amazed at one man's grasp of it.  We see that in today's message. 

A leper approaches Jesus seeking healing.  Jesus responds in a way that is powerful and beautiful.  

Who can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven?  On the last day, it will Jesus who determines that.  And today, He tells us who and how.  

There will always be fakes and phonies amongst God's people.  How should we handle these folks, and how should we help others handle them?  Jesus tells us plainly in today's passage.        

There are two paths that we have to choose from...one broad and one narrow, one leading to death and one leading to life.  Which one will we choose?  He tells us what we are supposed to do.
