PIP 25: John 12 04.11.2021

The first half of John’s gospel comes to a close here in chapter 12 as all of Jesus’s previous teachings and signs culminate in this moment where he clearly reveals himself to be King at the Triumphal Entry. Unfortunately, most people did not fully understand just how widespread this kingdom would one day become.

PIP 24: John 10-11 28.10.2021

In these chapters Jesus offers three more “I am” statements and reminds us that he is our good shepherd, the gate, and the resurrection.  He also performs one more incredible sign by raising his friend Lazarus from the dead.

PIP 23: How do we engage the faith of our kids? 21.10.2021

Join us this week for a special episode with our Family Ministry Team as they discuss ways in which we can engage the faith of the next generation.

PIP 22: John 9 14.10.2021

In John 9 we see Jesus perform another sign, the healing of a blind man, to teach a deeper truth on the dangers of spiritual blindness.

PIP 21: John 7-8 07.10.2021

The pace of John's gospel begins to slow as chapters 7 and 8 take time to process the evidences and signs Jesus has demonstrated.  With the exception of a popular narrative where Jesus offers grace to a woman caught in adultery, these chapters focus on the continued debate around Jesus's identity and what belief in him looks like.

PIP 20: John 6 30.09.2021

In this chapter Jesus performs the only sign recorded in all four gospels to continue to prove he is indeed the Son of God. He also proclaims to the crowds that he is the “Bread of Life” and that those who truly believe in him find their nourishment in a relationship with him. Believing in Jesus is not always easy, and when the decision to do so becomes difficult, many choose to walk away.

PIP 19: John 4-5 23.09.2021

In these chapters we continue to see that Jesus brings something new and greater - and this new life extends to all people. However, not everyone so easily lays aside their old ways of thinking to embrace what Jesus brings, even though this has always been God’s plan since the beginning to rescue those who believe.

PIP 18: John 2-3 16.09.2021

In chapters 2-3, John conveys in multiple ways that Jesus has come to bring something new.  The time has come for the old ways of living and relating to God (ways that served as sign posts to humanity’s need for a Savior) to find fulfillment in the new life Jesus offers.  Our response now is to recognize what it means to step into this new life and, as John the Baptist testifies, to allo...

We’d love to invite you to read along and listen as we walk through John’s unique gospel account of the life of Christ. Today we cover the intro and chapter 1 as we dis...

PIP 16: Mark 15-16 06.05.2021

Mark’s final chapters detail the death and resurrection of Jesus revealing his ultimate power over death. Mark leaves us with this final account as the last piece of evidence in helping his readers decide ‘who is Jesus?’ He hopes that like the centurion at the cross we would conclude “Surely this man was the Son of God!”

PIP 15: Mark 14 29.04.2021

In Mark 14 we see the pace to the cross quicken as Judas’s actions lead to the arrest of Jesus. To add to this betrayal, the other disciples go from sharing an intimate Passover meal with Jesus to turning their backs and running the moment their professed faith is tested.

PIP 14: Mark 12-13 22.04.2021

Jesus is questioned by various groups of political and religious leaders, yet continues to demonstrate his authority on all matters brought to his attention.  In chapter 13 he prophesies to the impending destruction of the Jewish temple which also serves as a precursor to his future return someday.

PIP 13: Mark 11 15.04.2021

Mark 11 ushers in the last week of Jesus’s life known as the Passion Week. In this chapter Jesus rides into Jerusalem openly fulfilling a prophecy concerning the coming Messiah. He begins to engage in public conflict with the religious leaders and illustrates through his teaching and his actions that the Jewish religion and temple system of his day have failed in accomplishing their intended purpo...

PIP 12: Mark 10 08.04.2021

In this last chapter before he enters Jerusalem the week of his death, Jesus continues to show us what it takes to follow Him.  We can never trust in ourselves but only in the saving work of Jesus.  We also see that in Christ's kingdom, service and sacrifice are valued above status and power.

PIP 11: Why We Can Trust the Resurrection 30.03.2021

All of Christianity hinges on the event of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.  But can we trust in this claim that Jesus of Nazareth literally died and rose again on the third day?  As we anticipate Easter Sunday this week, Andy and Daniel break down historical reasons for why we can trust in the Resurrection.

PIP 10: Mark 9 25.03.2021

Andy and Trey tackle Mark 9 where we see one of the clearest and greatest revelations of Jesus’s identity. In addition, Jesus continues to teach his disciples just what it looks like to truly follow him.

PIP 9: Mark 7-8 18.03.2021

In Mark 7-8 we continue to see the slow revelation of Jesus’s true identity, and we finally see a turning point when Peter acknowledges that Jesus is the Messiah. This confession is immediately followed by a misunderstanding of what that means as Jesus begins to point out his path to the cross and the journey set for those who choose to follow him.

PIP 8: Mark 6 11.03.2021

In Mark 6 we continue to see examples of people who, for various reasons, fail grasp the true identity of Jesus. But as his ministry continues, the evidences and miracles pile up pointing to the reality of his divine nature.

PIP 7: Mark 5 04.03.2021

In this episode, Andy and Daniel discuss how Mark continues to reveal Christ's identity through revealing his authority over demons, disease, and death.

In this chapter, Andy and Daniel discuss Jesus's first recorded parables and how our attitude and openness to God's Word plays a significant role in our own life change.

Daniel and Kelsie discuss a pivotal moment in Jesus's early ministry and the responses from various groups as this new movement continues to define itself.

PIP 4: Mark 2 11.02.2021

In today's podcast, Trey and Daniel discuss Mark chapter 2.  In this chapter we begin to see tension build between Jesus and the religious authorities of the day.

PIP 3: What Does the Bible Teach About Baptism? 05.02.2021

In this special "rerelease" episode, Daniel and Kelsie discuss some of the main verses in the Bible concerning baptism.  This topic is often debated in Christian circles, so we wanted to take some time to investigate what Scripture teaches.

PIP 2: Mark 1 04.02.2021

In today's podcast, Andy and Daniel kick off Mark chapter 1.  We see from the beginning of his book that Mark starts to prove to his readers who Jesus truly is.
