I believe that Black-Americans have reached a most pivotal time in which they are becoming a punchline socially, economically, and most importantly, politically. And most of what ills the Black-American community is self indose and self-inflicted.

As America grows ever more deliberately divided, we must pause and remember that we have not always been so. We need to remember who we are and how we got here. But more importantly, we must remember how we got to be so exceptional.

The comparisons between ancient Rome and America is one that fascinating and most worrisome. The severe lack of historical reference and reverence in America has us making crucial mistakes that have already proven not to be sustainable.

Abe Lincoln prophetically said once, "If destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher." Well, the coronavirus looks to be the finishing tool that will bring about America's death by our own hands.

American Capitalism is under assault as in no time in history from within our own borders. With more Americans out of the workforce and diving into the "gig' economy at the same as government growth and inflation is exploding, how many people are ready and prepared for the new year and beyond?
