Normally when you're recording lines, if you're going to be shouting a lot you would turn down your gain so that you don't have any peaking, and when you're talking at a regular volume you would have it at a higher gain. I've been having issues with my throat for a couple weeks now and it's making it hard to record. At first it was from a food I ate and had a reaction to, then while recovering from that I got sick which just made my throat hurt more.
