The Best Game of 2020 is decided by the COGconnected jury. Does it come down to lazy insults and/or a gnarly street fight? Usually. Yeah. Why would this year be any different?

A lot of it is super broken, but some of it's kinda good. A bit of it is even great. It's Cyberpunk 2077, one of the more confusing and difficult to describe games this year. It's disappointing to many, amazing to a few, and we talk about a lot of it here. No spoilers! Also: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light.

The fall game deluge is almost complete with Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and Hades on the docket. Meanwhile, James' body is ready, and Paul and James laugh at Rhett's "loss".

Xbox swings their mighty coin purse and buys Bethesda in a monstrous, game changing deal. Meanwhile, the PS5 price and showcase happened, and we might be getting a reimagined Metal Gear Solid. Could it involve Kojima? Maybe.

Marvel's Avengers is a confusing but somehow not entirely awful product, but  Immortals Fenyx Rising has the worst title in history. Meanwhile, we talk about Tony's flow, applaud Xbox's pricing structure, and ponder whom among us may own cat suits.

We talk about Kandagawa Jet Girls and Rogue Legacy 2, along with the disappointing PGA Tour 2k21. Meanwhile, James makes poor beverage choices. Also covered: the differences between wangin', bangin', and clangin'. 

We talk through Microsoft's Xbox Showcase event while giving Halo Infinite the roughest of rides, but also gush about Ghost of Tsushima. Meanwhile, Rhett's rocky Switch relationship continues with Crysis. Also covered: Kojima's secret superpower - optimization.

Rhett, Trevor, and Paul discuss every aspect of The Last of Us Part 2. Is it great? Does it suck? While we agree that the game is a technical marvel, we disagree on just about everything else. 

Dark times lead to dark deeds, and it's time for us to predict Xbox's future. Games are hot too, with Ghost of Tsushima, Paper Mario, and Death Stranding on the docket. Meanwhile, Rhett needs an RDR2 intervention, James does laundry, and the potato vodka is almost gone.

It's the pie episode, where  we give some non-final thoughts on Paper Mario: The Origami King! Everything else is embargoed to heck, so we make up for it by talking about the 9 games we're most stoked for in the back half of 2020, including Cyberpunk 2077, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and Halo Infinite. Also covered: is Toad wearing a hat? If not, would taking a big bite make you trip hard?

We talk about all the games at the PS5 reveal, the very few worth mentioning from EA Play, and Spongebob. Also covered: ass grapes.

James will play everything in that huge itch.io bundle if it's the last thing he does, while Rhett claims he'll never play another Switch port after The Outer Worlds smeared Vaseline on his eyes. Paul finished The Last of Us Part 2, but can't talk about it, so it's Everspace 2 and Beyond Blue. Can't talk about The Last of Us 2, but Maneater, Minecraft Dungeons, and Bushido Blade fill the void nicely. Meanwhile we discuss the mechanics of diving & kicking, Ubisoft's terrible tailing missions, and the awesomeness of a blood flick button. 

A lull in big releases gives Streets of Rage 4 and Drug Dealer Simulator room to breathe. Meanwhile, cucumber isn't a flavor, sticks can be clean or dirty, and Leeeeroooooooooy Jennnnnnnnkiiiiins! Also covered: Cyberpunk 2077's slider situation is god's gift to body modification.

John Carpenter's Vampires, Trials of Mana, and Gears Tactics are on the agenda. Meanwhile, Rhett doesn't want to read, Twitch chat is a disaster, and you've gotta bleach if you wanna make it in the big leagues.
