The Scripture is Luke 18:9-14. This sermon is about the Pharisees and how they were such great law keepers and good people, but when it came to the Lord Jesus Christ, they couldn't accept the Son of God, standing right before their eyes.  He didn't act the way they thought he should and he loved sinners.  They hated him and plotted to kill him.  This sermon was preached in 1978.

Never has it been so difficult for the church as it is today. But, also, those who are committed will be able to experience the Power of the Holy Spirit, today, like never before. But when discipleship and self denial cease to be a way of life, we have drifted. God must come first. This sermon was preached in 1979.

Losing someone you love changes your life.  Can we come to the place where we say "Let it be, Lord."  Can we come to the place that we know, that we know, that we know that God is in charge of my yesterday, today and tomorrow.  Can we commit to Him totally, all that we have and all whom we love.
