Jesus Prayed at Important Moments Before choosing disciples ( Luke 6:12 ) – He sought God’s guidance for big decisions. Before the Transfiguration ( Luke 9:28–29 ) – In prayer, God’s glory was revealed. Before the Cross ( Luke 22:41–44 ) – He found strength to surrender and endure suffering.

The question comes from Luke 11:1: “One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.’” (NIV)
