Many years ago, I wondered why soldiers wore uniforms when stepping out of their barracks. I was like, surely, when a soldier wants to step out of the barracks, he probably wants to be free of the sense of responsibility that comes from being a soldier (although I know in some climes that I will not name, it’s a sense of benefit so as to rip people off, but it’s too early to throw shades. Let’s ju...

Today, Pastor started on a leadership sub-series exploring the art of stewardship and management. We learnt today that there is nothing in our care that God doesn’t expect fruitfulness and growth even down to something as vain as how beautiful we look and we should be able to account for its usage. We learnt three major things God has bestowed everyone with and that we are responsible for stewardi...

Hello Tribesmen, Today Pastor Dami continued on the tangent of responsibility of/for believers to actually go into the world and shine in the darkness. Pastor Dami mentioned that the light that we carry is made to shine in the dark; in the unseeming areas that we think Christian’s shouldn’t operate. Understanding the Workings of the Spirit of Grace - Pastor Dami Oguntunde

Doyou sometimes look back and think life was much simpler back then? Yes, it’s a somewhat random question and an unusual start to an article, but permit me. Let us ponder over the last couple of years, your time at the university, running from one class to another, thinking “everything” rose and fell on your CGPA. Or secondary school, when what was more critical was avoiding that bully or dodging...

Hello Tribesmen, Today was a convocation into the dangers of insecurity especially in Leadership. Pastor Dami taught us today that whilst we are networking with people in higher places to help us evolve, we should also be looking out for people that are not as evolved as we are and help them tap into the grace of what we have become. We also learnt today that as a leader you must also be willing t...

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings — Proverbs 25:2 I have a few Graphic Designer friends, and I get to see the document that is usually attached to a “simple” logo explaining the thinking that births the design—it’s usually AMAZING. That is why when we, who are not designers, begin to question the content of these ideas, the creativity that bir...
