Power For Living

Frustrated, I sat at my desk and wondered how I would make it to the next payday. You've probably wondered the same thing. This week's Power For Living covers the answer from Zechariah 14.

When you hear someone say, "Just go with the flow," that usually means, “Don't sweat it.” In this week's Power For Living, we learn that when we go with the Lord's flow, that means protection and deliverance.

Freedom means many things to many people. To some it's freedom from social or political restrictions. To others, it's freedom from guilt and mental anguish. That's this week's Power For Living topic.

We've all heard people brag, “I told you so,” when they were right. In this week's Power For Living, we learn that Jesus said He's coming back. But it's not a boast, it's an encouragement.

We've heard, "Tough times never last, but tough people do." That may be true… But this week, Power For Living talks about going through the fire and not letting tough times keep us from God's work. http://powerforlivingctk.podbean.com www.powerforlivingctk.org

When you're putting up a tent, you put down some tent pegs and attach the ropes. The pegs secure the ropes and hold up the tent. In this week's Power For Living, we learn that Jesus is our "tent peg" Who brings stability.

Sometimes we feel like our life is "the pits." We may even need help so we don't fall into a pit. In this week's program we learn that even if we fall into a pit, Jesus will lift us out.

Relationships are built on promises. We take a job based on the promise of benefits. Sometimes those promises go awry. Kids promise their parents they'll do well in school. This week, we find out that the Lord promises to help us in our lives, and in our service for Him.

In today's social climate, we hear a lot about justice--social justice, economic justice. The concept isn't new; God tells His people to "do justice." That's just one of the themes in this week's Power For Living.

Sometimes we wonder if we can trust someone. Is this person dependable? Are they consistent? In this week's Power For Living, we talk about the One who is above reproach and Whose record of consistency is perfect. A basket case is someone or something that has been severely damaged (Used with all due respect). But in this week's Power For Living, we learn that when God is in it, He can bring healing. But, He can also use a basket to take away our suffering and sin.

Sometimes at work or in school, it seems like the boss or the teachers are pouring it on--tasks and assignments. In this week's Power For Living, we learn that when God pours it on, it's a good thing.

Sometimes we may believe we've messed up so badly, we'll never be able to clean-up our lives. In this week's Power For Living, we find out Who not only cleans us up, but gives our lives new meaning.

Sometimes it seems like the flood gates of life are thrown open and troubles are pouring in. In this week's Power For Living, we learn the best way to overcome adversity.

How many times have we seen signs of what's ahead and ignored them? That's not a good idea if you think about it. In this week's Power For Living, we find out that the Lord who is zealous for His church has been giving signs to His people for centuries.

One of the most difficult things we have to do is admit we need to change. But when we admit that, and we return to the right way, the Lord blesses us with all sorts of gifts. That's the theme of this week's Power For Living. If you would like to support this ministry, write to us at PowerForLivingCtK@gmail.com .

When things look like they're at their worst, there is a way to turn things around. In this week's Power For Living, we find out that all is not lost when we follow the Lord's remedy.

When someone you trust warns you of coming danger, you need to listen. Jesus is calling His people to make disciples and to love people enough to warn those who don't know Him.

Some situations may look really grim, but there's always hope. And that hope is that God is always "In This Story." That's the message of this week's program.

When you're facing a situation you don't understand, what do you do? Sometimes you have to press on regardless of what you see. That's the topic for this week's Power For Living.
