Podcast Town

Today we feature a podcast from friend / foe of the show Martii showcasing the all the Black Friday deals at Trader Joe's this year. But there is more going on at the Tallahassee Trader Joe's than meets the eye.

After more than a year since episode 99, we are officially doing the 100th episode of Podcast Town (aka Chris & Rob Talk About Other People's Podcasts). You're welcome! For this momentous occasion, we play a never-before heard podcast that happens to be the 2nd podcast ever recorded. We found it in a box from 1985 on a cassette tape next to the first podcast ever recorded (which we p...

Dear Listeners,  Our podcast got hacked Wednesday night by those two Yankee fans who tried to grab the ball from Mookie Betts' glove during World Series Game 4. They did a whole podcast on our feed while watching Game 5 live. I wish we had something else to play for you today but unfortunately we don't, so this one is for you sports heads out there.  Could this the most niche episode of...

It's time once again to talk about Gumby. Today we welcome special guest Steve to the podcast to discuss Halloween songs, nude cartoon characters, and purgatory. But will we learn anything new about Gumby? And if so, is any of it true? We'll never know!

At long last, Chris & Rob complete their epic journey to see Creed live in concert.  Follow along as they record their experience before, during, and after the show and answer all your burning questions: How was the pre-show pizza? Did Scott Stapp mention Step by Step during the performance? And how do you pronounce the word “amphitheater”? This is the episode that is guaranteed to take you HI...

Today we bring you and exclusive sneak preview at the newest season of Bravo’s Below Deck. This episode, believe it or not, takes place on Creed’s Summer of ‘99 Cruise and follows the ship’s crew as they set sail from Miami.

We deep dive once again into the world of Gumby, dropping a major bombshell as we reveal once and for all COLOR OF POKEY.

It's the thrilling conclusion of our "to be continued" episode in which we relate Creed's hit song "With Arms Wide Open" to the S4 finale of Step by Step where Carol has her baby - but the way in which the two relate may shock you. Plus, Erika is back to talk about Real Housewives, her old screen names, and we reveal a rival Step by Step podcast we recently discovered...

Did Chris & Rob see Creed live in concert like they've been hyping for the past year? Will Carol have her baby on the Step by Step S4 finale? Does Erika still love Finger Eleven? Erika joins to talk about all this and more on a momentous, epic, legendary episode of Step by Stapp.

It's the last episode before we attend the big Creed reunion concert, so that means a final check on Creed ticket news. Will prices drop low enough for us to feel good about buying them and not like we're spending hundreds of hard-earned dollars on a joke? You'll have to listen to find out! Plus, we watch S4 E23 of Step by Step where underage Al Lambert gets creeped on by dudes at a...

Today we discuss Rob’s clothing choice for the recording session, fancy YMCAs, and Chris’s method for getting custom hot dogs at Costco.  Then, we hear Scott Stapp’s 2024 ballad “Weight of the World” and watch S4 E22 of Step By Step where J.T. opens an illegal daycare in his parents’ house.

Today we analyze the episode of Step by Step where Brendan meets his favorite baseball player and figure out how Scott Stapp wrote the song “When Love is Not Enough” about it.

Today we watch yet another horny episode  of Step by Step, discuss the song Scott Stapp wrote about it, and try to get press credentials to see Creed in concert.

This episode was brought to you on schedule despite the best efforts of would-be saboteurs who did not want you to hear what we have to say. Though the recording session encountered a series of obstacles, we were not silenced. We persevered, and we are here today to tell you about the episode of Step by Step where Cody gets shocked every time he says the word “dude” and how that episode influenced...

Today we welcome special guest Bruce to discuss his first car: a'97 Ford Explorer XLT. Hear all about his infamous subwoofer, a near accident involving rotten fruit, and his favorite Long Island landmarks such as The Cheesecake Factory. Then buckle up for another exciting round of Kelly Blue Book Bingo as we try and guess what the 97 Explorer would sell for today.

We read a raving review of the recent Creed Cruise, check in on Creed’s summer tour ticket prices, and expertly map Scott Stapp’s 2024 song “Quicksand” to the episode of Step by Step where J.T. learns he is dyslexic.

Today we find a surprisingly obvious connection between the Scott Stapp song “Deadman’s Trigger” and the episode of Step by Step where Cody and Dana become teachers. Plus, Rob is distracted as he waits for an important phone call.

Today we welcome another guest who has some Gumby thoughts to get off his chest on Chris & Rob Talk About Gumby. His name is also Chris and he's got ideas on everything  from Gumby's voice to the color of Gumby's car to how much it costs to book Bubba Sparxxx for a private event. But does this Chris actually know shit about Gumby? Or is he implanting false memories in our brains...

Today we learn some surprising Creed news, do one of our famous Creed reenactments, and watch the episode of Step by Step where Dana has a drug problem and does a Jamaican accent.

We’re here to learn more about Gumby on episode 4 of the podcast that is sweeping the nation: Chris & Rob Talk About Gumby. Today we welcome Jimmy to the show, who believes he can refute at least 3 facts we think we’ve learned so far. But does Jimmy really know Gumby? Or is it just more fake news?

Today we discuss Scott Stapp’s surprise appearance in a Paramount+ Super Bowl commercial, the contents of Rob’s Creed Go Bag, and we watch Step by Step S4E15 where Mark has girlfriend trouble. We then postulate that Mr. Stapp wrote his 2019 song Face of the Sun about that very episode (spoiler: he did).

We're back to learn about everyone's favorite probably green character: GUMBY. Special guest Jay joins us to talk about the two possible Gumby facts he knows. We also talk more about Bubba Sparxxx's 2005 hit "Ms. New Booty", discuss what might be happening in parallel universes, and come up with an idea for a Gumby reboot.

Friend of the show Jay joins us to watch S4 E14 of Step by Step in which Frank fat shames his pregnant wife. Together we decode how Scott Stapp wrote his newest single, Black Butterfly, about that very episode. Plus, we check in on Creed ticket prices and deep dive into The Kickboxer film franchise, of which 3 movies star Cody Lambert (Sasha Mitchell) himself.

Special guest Erika joins us on an all new episode to tell what she thinks she knows about Gumby. Plus, we decide on a theme song for the podcast.

To close out 2023, special guest Erika joins us to discuss Creed ticket prices, Juggalos, and her idea for an Everclear podcast. Then we all watch Season 4 Ep 13 of Step by Step in which J.T. tricks a diner waitress into dating him and Frank gets horny at the gynecologist's office. Finally, your mind will be blown by how closely the episode aligns with Scott Stapp's 2019 song, "Surv...
