The Wheel Route - 23.17 (WEEK 9 PREVIEW) 26.10.2023

We overcame spotty hotel wi-fi shenanigans to bring you a mix of Michigan sign-stealing scandal discussion, a coaching carousel check-in, and this weekend’s preview. Games picked = Oklahoma @ Kansas, Georgia vs Florida, Oregon @ Utah, Duke @ Louisville, and Colorado @ UCLA.

The Wheel Route - 23.16 (WEEK 8 RECAP) 23.10.2023

Join us as we recap a pretty good overall week for the gang’s teams and picks - breakdowns of UVA’s historic win over UNC, JMU’s convincing win at Marshall, Nick Saban joyfully starting a new win streak vs Tennessee, and more.

The Wheel Route - 23.15 (W7 Recap/W8 Preview) 21.10.2023

We are back after a travel-induced delay with a mega-episode to both recap a decent Week 7 and preview the upcoming games in Week 8, with some bonus bourbon hunting recon at the end. Games picked = JMU @ Marshall, Penn State @ Ohio State, Tennessee @ Alabama, Duke @ Florida State, and Utah @ USC.

The Wheel Route - 23.14 (WEEK 7 PREVIEW) 12.10.2023

Despite advancing into Bye Week SZN, Week 7 has some good matchups at the top for us to take a look at, with some potentially interesting ones further down the list for the true sicko viewers. Games picked = Oregon @ Washington, Texas A&M @ Tennessee, USC @ Notre Dame, Miami @ North Carolina, and UCLA @ Oregon State.

The Wheel Route - 23.13 (WEEK 6 RECAP) 09.10.2023

Week 6 was one for the books with some wild events distributed across the schedule - we get into Mario Cristobal’s malpractice at Miami, the unavoidable doom of Georgia, Nick Saban’s exit strategy, wristwatch talk, and much much more.

The Wheel Route - 23.12 (WEEK 6 PREVIEW) 05.10.2023

4 ranked v ranked games on the board this weekend, with the rest of the slate containing additional potentially interesting matchups and others only true sickos will enjoy. Games picked = Oklahoma vs Texas, LSU @ Missouri, Virginia Tech @ Florida State, Kentucky @ Georgia, and Notre Dame @ Louisville.

The Wheel Route - 23.11 (WEEK 5 RECAP) 02.10.2023

Join us to put Week 5 to bed, which featured not too much in terms of fireworks or upset activity. Tough week for our schools in orange & blue, with a bonus post-mortem for the USA Ryder Cup performance.

The Wheel Route - 23.10 (WEEK 5 PREVIEW) 28.09.2023

While there are several ranked-on-ranked matchups again this weekend, the rest of the board isn’t really doing a whole lot for us so we have peppered in some coaching carousel/visor/Ryder Cup talk with our previews. Games picked = Utah @ Oregon State, Florida @ Kentucky, Kansas @ Texas, LSU @ Ole Miss, and Notre Dame @ Duke.

The Wheel Route - 23.9 (WEEK 4 RECAP) 25.09.2023

The stout on-paper we had for Week 4 did not disappoint (for the most part), with (mostly) better picks from the group as a whole to get us back on track moving forward this season. UVA is still winless but doing it in excited fashion, and while Ohio State came away from Notre Dame with a win some of us are still not fully buying the Ryan Day package.

The Wheel Route - 23.8 (WEEK 4 PREVIEW) 21.09.2023

We’ve got a much more appealing schedule (on-paper) to look forward to this weekend; 6 ranked vs ranked matchups means we are making a bonus pick and it’s surprisingly not FSU/Clemson. Games picked = Colorado @ Oregon, UCLA @ Utah, Ole Miss @ Alabama, Oregon State @ Washington State, Ohio State @ Notre Dame, and Iowa @ Penn State.

The Wheel Route - 23.7 (WEEK 3 RECAP) 18.09.2023

The poor on-paper schedule of Week 3 did provide some weirdness (looking at you, Oklahoma State and Iowa State) and another win for Colorado (though not by enough to cover). Is there cause for optimism in Gainesville? Which ACC school in Virginia will record their first win of the season? Bonus announcement of our first corporate investment into a Heisman Trophy futures market!

The Wheel Route - 23.6 (WEEK 3 PREVIEW) 14.09.2023

We acknowledge that this weekend’s schedule stinks on paper, but in the past that’s also provided some of the more chaotic days in the sport. Games picked = Virginia @ Maryland, South Carolina @ Georgia, Washington @ Michigan State, Tennessee @ Florida, and Colorado State @ Colorado.

The Wheel Route - 23.5 (WEEK 2 RECAP) 11.09.2023

On a Saturday filled with weather-induced delays Week 2 saw our picks improve (slightly), with fun action across the schedule highlighted by Texas rounding into being back after taking down Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

The Wheel Route - 23.4 (WEEK 1 RECAP/WEEK 2 PREVIEW) 06.09.2023

Early season mega-episode incoming due to travels and such for the gang; we revisit the Week 1 action and make selections for the Week 2 slate. Games picked = Notre Dame @ NC State, Nebraska @ Colorado, Ole Miss @ Tulane, Texas A&M @ Miami, and Texas @ Alabama.

The Wheel Route - 23.3 (WEEK 1 PREVIEW) 31.08.2023

Not the best Week 1 slate we’ve ever seen but we are still putting in the work and making selections. Games picked = Florida @ Utah, Colorado @ TCU, North Carolina vs South Carolina, LSU vs FSU, and Clemson @ Duke.

The Wheel Route - 23.2 (WELCOME BACK/WEEK 0 RECAP) 28.08.2023

College football is back and so are we; join us to briefly remember some Week 0 action, catch up on our golf games and look forward to the storylines/characters ahead of us for this season.

The Wheel Route - 23.1 (OFFSEASON CHECK-IN/TRAVELS/ETC.) 17.03.2023

We’re back with an impromptu mid-March episode to rip off some March Madness scabs, recap some of our recent travels/excursions and talk some golf excursions as well.

The Wheel Route - 22.30 (NATTY RECAP/GOLF & OTHER GOALS FOR 2023) 12.01.2023

Join us to put the 2022 college football season to bed, heap praise on Kirby’s DAWGS, and perhaps put Stetson Bennett IV in check as-needed. We also (starting around 39:30) return to the Vision Board Studio to set golf (and other) goals for ourselves in this new year as we head into the podcasting offseason.

The Wheel Route - 22.29 (NEW YEAR'S 6 RECAP/TITLE GAME PREVIEW) 06.01.2023

A hearty welcome to the new year with best wishes for you and your favorite team; we recap the major holiday bowl contests including two fantastic CFP semifinals, and preview the upcoming National Championship game where TCU will look to keep the magic going for 4 more quarters, this time against Georgia.

The Wheel Route - 22.28 (NEW YEAR'S 6 PREVIEW) 27.12.2022

Wishing you all happy holidays, we’re back at it to resurrect picking against the spread for the upcoming New Year’s 6 bowl games, featuring Tennessee v Clemson, Alabama v Kansas State, TCU v Michigan, Georgia v Ohio State, Tulane v USC, and Penn State v Utah.

The Wheel Route - 22.27 (BOWL SZN/COACHING CAROUSEL) 16.12.2022

Let’s take a look at the bowls that will fill the gap between now and the New Year’s 6 - the transfer portal impact is certainly felt but there are still plenty of watchable options, especially for the sickos amongst us. Plenty of coaching news to criticize as well!

The Wheel Route - 22.26 (CONFERENCE CHAMP RECAP) 05.12.2022

Bowl and playoff matchups are set, but first let's look at how we got there & talk some World Cup and coaching carousel along the way.

The Wheel Route - 22.25 (WEEK 13 RECAP/CONFERENCE CHAMP PREVIEW) 02.12.2022

We’ve finally stumbled back from the Thanksgiving recess and its associated travels/tribulations to recap the final week of the regular season, preview conference championship games, discuss the coaching carousel to this point, and get some culinary takes off of our chests.

The Wheel Route - 22.24 (WEEK 12 RECAP) 22.11.2022

Two-man pod tonight as our resident TCU fan attends to college hoops matters; the playoff picture is getting murky, Lane might really be going to Auburn, and a few top teams struggled to put teams away on Saturday. Bonus UVA hoops reporting live from Las Vegas!

The Wheel Route - 22.23 (WEEK 12 PREVIEW) 18.11.2022

We’re back from a bit of a travel-induced break to re-enter the world of college football and lifestyle podcasting; games picked = TCU @ Baylor, Arkansas @ Ole Miss, Oklahoma State @ Oklahoma, USC @ UCLA, and Utah @ Oregon.
