The early church in Acts 6 recognised the importance of recognizing and fulfilling one's unique roles. Chris unpacks this passage of the Bible for us, and encourages us that no job is secular when done for God's glory and every role, no matter how mundane it seems, is a ministry when approached with a heart full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom.

God's presence is not limited to physical spaces like temples or churches! His Spirit dwells within us, making our bodies His temple. Chris unpacks this truth in relation to Stephen's message in Acts 7, calling us to live with a heightened awareness of God's holiness and the responsibility that comes with being His dwelling place.

Chris delved into the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10 and the significance of sitting at Jesus' feet: a posture that symbolizes humility, hunger for spiritual nourishment, and a desire to be transformed by His words. It's from this position that we can offer true and extravagant worship.

Every one of us has a role to play in God's plan! Chris brings a powerful reminder to us of the importance of gathering together, and living as an apostolic people. We are sent by God with His authority to bring His kingdom wherever we are: to bring hope, healing, and the love of Jesus to a world in need.

Chris challenges us in this message to not see the commands of Jesus as a checklist but as reflection of a loving relationship with Him. Love for Jesus naturally leads to keeping His commands, not out of obligation but from a heart transformed by the Holy Spirit, moving from ritualistic obedience to a genuine desire to follow His ways.
