Planet Ludwig

On Show # 135, we go back to the late-60's/early 70's and those stylish FM radio promos for now classic rock albums. We'll listen to 29 Classic Rock Album Promos in a brilliant 27-minute segment. Then, special messages from Australia's pop/rock legends Joe Mandica & Peter Rechter. And we'll finish off with the return of Bill's Album Cut, usually an obscure, but very cool, song choice by Bill. Here are thirty Christmas songs performed by thirty of our wonderful Steve Ludwig's Classic Pop Culture guests from over the years. No commercials, just one merry tune after another! And no talking between songs by our blabbermouth host...You can follow along with each song's description at PlanetLudwig.com.

We'll hear the original versions of songs that went on to become hits for other artists, including "My Sweet Lord" (not originally released by George Harrison!), "I Love Rock & Roll," "Black Magic Woman," "Mickey," and many others. Plus, we'll hear 2 songs of Australian pop. Sixty minutes of pure pop culture fun await you!

BEATLES HOUR with Steve Ludwig # 54 ~ MORE Isolated Beatles Tracks in this, Volume 2 (Show # 53 is Isolated Beatles Tracks Volume 1). Once again, the genius of the Fab Four is clear as ever, from "Day Tripper" to "The End," with isolated vocals & isolated instrumentation. Enjoy! Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!

Sure, the Forgotten Girl Groups of the Sixties never received the national or international recognition that the "Big Names" got, but we honor them here because their love of music was as intense as anyone's. It is that love that put them into a recording studio.

On THE BEATLES HOUR with Steve Ludwig # 53, the genius of the Beatles will be even more evident in this all-isolated tracks edition. From "A Hard Day's Night" to Abbey Road, you'll hear the Fabs as perhaps never before!

Sixty minutes; 25 horror movie themes...Can you guess what movies the music comes from? Good luck! PLUS, a flashback to an interview Steve did with horror movie icon, Teri McMinn - "Pam, the girl on the meat hook," from the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

Planet Ludwig with Steve Ludwig offers two funny and cool pop culture shows: The Beatles Hour with Steve Ludwig & Steve Ludwig's Classic Pop Culture. Both feature classic music, retro commercials, comedy, and guests from every walk of pop culture.

It seems the more things change, the more they stay the same. With classic music, TV, & comedy, Steve Ludwig takes a look at where America WAS, and where America is NOW~
