In this peculiar passage in Mark 14, a woman makes a bold offering to Jesus - in many ways embodying all that Jesus has called his disciples to be: sacrificial and giving. What is it that may be standing in the way of you giving all that you have to Jesus?

Mark 13 stands as one of the most widely interpreted and contested passages in Scripture; yet, a deep hope rests behind the surface of the text. One the points just as a sign does to something beyond itself and offers a foretaste of a day in which all things will be made new.
