Penguins defenseman Kris Letang has undergone successful heart surgery. The team's announcement says the procedure closed a small hole in Letang's heart, performed at UPMC Presby by Dr. Conrad Smith. The head of Allegheny County's Public Defender's office is off the job for now with pay. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that's while officials conduct a human resources investigation into Lena Bryan-Henderson.
