Pride and humility go hand in hand. The opposite of pride is humility. Ultimately, pride is what keeps us from not operating in God's Spirit. We want to live our way, to follow our desires. Faith is simply defined as having trust in something. Whenever we pray, we are requesting something from God, choosing to believe that He will then fulfill that request. God wants for us to trust that He will follow through with His promises and what He's spoken to us. God wants our trust to be in Him, that we will have faith in Him.
