EPISODE #58: What is Dividend Payout Ratio? - Investing in the Philippines 29.06.2020 7:51
If you're a #dividend investor (or planning to be one) then you should know about a company's dividend payout ratio. This is one of the factors that you consider before buying a stock of a particular company. Good thing is, almost all of the online stock brokers have this ratio readily available on their platforms; I can vouch for #BPI Trade ;) I hope you find this episode helpful! #dividendpayout...
EPISODE #57: Saan Aabot Ang 10,000 Pesos Mo Sa Stock Market? - Investing in the Philippines 25.06.2020 17:45
If you're planning to invest in stocks and you can't pick a security that's for you out of the hundreds of companies listed in the PSE, then this episode might help you! If you've set aside ₱10,000, then you have the ability to purchase good stocks at a bargain price (given the pandemic and our economic state/situation). The ₱10K budget is a good starting capital, in my opinion and basing on...
EPISODE #56: What is Capital Gain? - Peso Smart PH 22.06.2020 21:25
I've been throwing around the term capital gain(s) a lot from my previous videos and I never had the chance to share the definition with you guys. It's pretty straightforward and you'll probably use this term often as soon as you start investing. From stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, sports cards, shoes, you name it, capital gain will always be used. I also learned a thing or two as I did...
EPISODE #55: 6 Mistakes That New Stock Market Investors Make - Investing in the Philippines 18.06.2020 36:07
These are all my personal thoughts and experiences as I navigate my way through investing. I believe that if you try to avoid these things, it'll let you progress a bit faster and would save you time, effort and money. However, don't be discouraged to try things out yourself and experiment. First hand experience is the best teacher and you shouldn't be afraid to make mistakes and find your own way...

If you want a consistent and reliable income stream from the stock market, then preferred stock is for you! Although it doesn't present a big capital gain upside/potential, it can give you a respectable return on your money while beating inflation. This investment vehicle is way better than your money just sitting in your bank account. Also, please be careful about scam emails being sent out...
EPISODE #53: Company/Stock Review: DMC - DMCI Holdings, Inc. - Investing in the Philippines 11.06.2020 16:57
It's not looking good for the market as the PSEi dropped almost 150 points yesterday. This is due to the announcement from the Malacañang that it's possible to tighten the quarantine measures again in Metro Manila. This is not good for businesses, especially the working class as most of them won't have pay without working. I hope that if ever another strict quarantine is applied, the government sh...
EPISODE #52: Opportunity Cost - Philippine Stock Market News - Peso Smart PH 09.06.2020 20:33
Opportunity cost is a concept that I always use every time I make decisions. I got it from my economics professor back in college and I believe it is a very useful tool. It makes your decision making much easier and it would allow you not to dwell or regret any actions you take in the past. Also, the market is booming but being cautious about your next move wouldn't really hurt. Yes, the economy i...
EPISODE #51: Philippine Stock Market Continues to Rise | Wall Street Crash of 1929 - Peso Smart PH 04.06.2020 26:03
Overall, the Philippine Stock Market has been thriving this week. The PSEi has reached a new high again today closing at 6,517.49, up by 271.84 points or 4.35%. The total turnover came up to ₱10.83B, which is also a high for this week. I think this trend will continue since the investor sentiment is pretty good even though we still have to be on lookout for new coronavirus cases on a daily basis a...

Yesterday was a good day for the Philippine Stock Market as gainers (127) has overtaken the losers (63), while 37 stocks remained unchanged. A total value of ₱6.38B was traded and the PSEi closed at 5,930.17 which is up by 91.33 points or 1.56%. I'm pretty sure your stock watch list is also a bit greener yesterday. However, we should all still proceed and invest with caution as nobody can tell if...
What is a Tender Offer? - Peso Smart PH 28.05.2020 18:22
So I got curious about the tender offer from PIP the last time I saw it so I researched and read about it and now I'm sharing it with you guys. It's quite common to happen especially when a new entity or group wants to take over a specific company. It's a very interesting topic and I hope this shines a light for y'all. "If you build a dream around something you love, you're more likely to work har...
EEI Corporation Cancels Dividends for 2020 - Investing in the Philippines 26.05.2020 14:37
I bought some EEI stocks back in March and April since I got attracted to their dividend payments. The company is also really profitable and is continuously growing as a whole. However, no company is an exemption to the negative effects of this pandemic. All we can do now is hope for the best and try to assess if a stock is worth buying at its current price point and see if they'll recover after t...
Moderna Vaccine Development, PSE and My Position in the Market - Peso Smart PH 21.05.2020 22:37
The market's a bit upbeat the past few days because of news from Moderna's vaccine development returning positive results. However, there are still a lot of skepticism about this and we should all be careful about the moves we'll be making in the next couple of weeks/months. "You are 100Fucking% in control of your life. Stop fucking complaining." - Gary Vaynerchuk #PSE #portfolio #pesosmartph

Company/Stock Review: SPC - Spc Power Corporation - Investing in the Philippines 12.05.2020 17:54
I thought SPC won't give out dividends this year due to the pandemic and I was surprised to see that they've already announced an ex-date on May 19 and payment on May 29. SPC is also my top performing stock, so far, with regards to price appreciation, at around 25% unrealized gain. If you want to receive dividend payments from this stock, make sure you already own it 1 trading day before the ex-da...
Stock/Company Review: ABS-CBN and GMA7 - Investing in the Philippines 07.05.2020 23:41
So the NTC ordered ABS-CBN to cease all operations 2 days ago. As expected, their main competitor, GMA7's stock gained around 24% in the Philippine Stock Market. I'm expecting the ABS-CBN stock prices to plummet as soon as it gets traded again. However, this should be mitigated if good news or progress will develop in the following days as we near the end of this week. Next week, I'll cover in one...

How is My Stock Portfolio Doing? - Investing in the Philippines 23.04.2020 25:12
We're still facing a lot of uncertainty in the stock market. The PSE, after doing well the past few weeks is now on a downward trend again. Since most of the stocks suffered a great loss in value last March, traders have been collecting profit this week, prompting the prices to drop. A lot of variables play a part on this, too, most especially the uncertainty of the coronavirus. I found a bunch of...

As Jim Rohn said, "Success is a few good habits repeated every day". You'll need to incorporate these few good habits to your daily routine. Also, you need to realize that there's no such thing as an "overnight success". You have to put in the work and be patient.
