Does something have you up late at night, tossing and turning, cold sweats? Something gnawing at your stomach? What has you anxious?

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Ever heard of the porcupine dilemma? Just like porcupines huddle together despite the risk of poking each other, we're called to stick together in the church, despite our flaws. Jesus endured pain for us, inviting us into his love and forgiveness. If you find benefit from these devotions we'd encourage you to support our ministry. Check your mirrors! Maybe you can still hear your driving instructor giving that command.

Pastor Don Moldstad compares the constant reminder of mortality to a "Death Church." We find hope in Jesus' resurrection, which brings us into the "Life Church." Have you ever been watching the news and you see a crime that is so terrible, so bad, that it just makes you burn with anger?

Historically, even non-Christians acknowledge Jesus's existence and empty tomb. 1 Corinthians 15 explains death entered through Adam, our ancestor, but through Christ, a new lineage of life is offered. Believing in Jesus grafts us into this living lineage, ensuring our future resurrection like Christ, the firstfruit. If you find benefit from these devotions we'd encourage you to support ou...

I remember one time putting in my contact lenses. I washed and dried my hands and I put my contact lens into my eye and my eye just hurt.

May God continued to purify your heart through faith in Jesus. May he continue to change the way you think so that you view him and your neighbor properly.

About a year ago, someone posed a question for me. He asked "why should I be a Christian and not a follower of another religion, like Hinduism or Buddhism?"

I don't know if we always totally appreciate just how awesome the events of the Bible really were.

Years ago there was an evangelism program that encouraged Christians to ask their neighbor: 'If you were to die today, would you go to heaven?'

In Luke chapter 15 Jesus tells us an incredible story about forgiveness and love.

Today as we begin our celebration of Holy Week, we meditate on Isaiah 53 and its prophetic message about our Savior from sin. We'll come back to this text in our Good Friday Devotion. (Look for new devotions this week on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.)

In the Bible, Jesus tells us a story about a servant who owed his master incredible debt. Something like a million dollars in today's currency.

Today, we consider the final statement made about Jesus during his suffering and death. If you find benefit from these devotions we'd encourage you to support our ministry.
