Being reunited with God in the resurrection life is the end result of our salvation, but salvation is so much more than a future destination. It’s an ongoing process of transformation that we get to experience daily as we follow Jesus.

Humanity turned away from our Creator and got lost in the darkness of sin, so God came to us. Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. Through his death and resurrection, he broke the chains of sin and shone the light of God into the world. He calls us to join him by living in the light of God’s kingdom on earth.

The Israelites are now in the wildernesses and at war for the first time. What do you do when you're at war? You lean into God!

“Sin” is the language the Christian faith gives us to make sense of the brokenness and evil we find in the world and in ourselves. Sin blinds us to the truth about God and ourselves and keeps us from living up to the fullness of who God made us to be.

Week 2: Made for More (Why did God create humans?) The Christian faith offers us an identity that is received as a gift from God, not achieved by our efforts. We don’t have to chase after meaning or compare ourselves to others because we know God created each of us in his image, uniquely and for a purpose.
