Human achievements can be impressive, but they don't last forever. What really matters is the time and resources we invest in the work of the Kingdom of God. What does that mean for us, especially in light of the return of Jesus?

It's impossible for us to truly examine our hearts on our own. So, how do we know what's going on inside and what needs to change? Thankfully, God gives us an answer through the writings of King David and the James, the brother of Jesus.

In Matthew 23, Jesus issues a public indictment of the scribes and Pharisees, and even calls them hypocrites. As we examine what takes place in the hypocritical heart, we must also ask God to examine us for those same tendencies so we can turn from them and turn back to Him.

Some days are harder than others. Some stages of life are harder than others. It’s good to know that in all of this, God has a purpose. He will use the things we go through to strengthen our faith and allow us to help others … as we rely on Him.

When asked what was the greatest commandment of the Old Testament Law, Jesus gave not one, but two. He said they were both on the same level, and they supported all other commandments of God. If they are that important, we must to follow them, too.

Over and over again in the Bible, God gives us the truth that we are better together. Are we applying that truth to our daily lives?
