I spontaneously decided to record more of what the LORD is revealing to us as we observe our first Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement. The more I see, the more I cannot hold back sharing to anyone who would have ears to hear. The incredible imagery is endless. In ancient days it was tradition to go to the Water Gate (as mentioned in Nehemiah 8) and cast bread into the water. The activity was known as "tashlich", which comes from the Hebrew word meaning "to cast". It was meant to represent the casting of ones sins and "dirt". In this episode, we discuss this awesome principle.

1 John tells us what will be true for us if we love one another. Including how the perfect love of the Father is actually accomplished, perfected and made complete in us. Our Abba is a perfect, loving, gift-giving Father. I stand in awe of His kindness towards us.

I picked up on a pattern within Genesis chapter 22 that I found interesting. When we are open to the word of the LORD coming to us and we're willing to position ourselves in obedience and faith to see it accomplished, we're set up well (like Abraham). When we hide in fear and shame (like First Adam), we're destined for trouble as we move out in self. Tune in and see what you hear within this one!

Sometimes we find ourselves within trying circumstances. Whether it's busyness, new environments or just trials, sometimes life is demanding our full attention. In this episode I insert the idea of inventing a device that can "check our source". We'll also briefly discuss Paul's challenge to not murmur or grumble, as we journey along these matters.

Things have been chaotic around here the last couple of weeks and this episode makes that clear. We'll eventually land briefly discussing Paul's willingness to make it known that he was a man of weakness, fear and trembling as he equally boasted in the Cross.   * Please note, I lost my usual voice recorder. Today is my son's birthday so it seemed fitting to share a bit of our story, in regards to becoming first-time parents at the age of 38. God surely poured out His goodness upon us when he gave us our son. I consider it a privilege to share, even in small increment, this part of our journey.

I ran across one verse in Habakkuk that stopped me in my tracks. From here on, I intend to make it one of my key verses. In this episode we unpack it line by line, attempt to extract all that we can from it and then bring it into our present-day lives.

Right now is the time to follow the instructions of Proverbs. Look straight ahead. Fix your gaze. Level the path for your feet. Properly prepare your ways. Do not deviate to the right or left and keep your foot far from evil. A greater distinction is coming.

This episode is too all over the place to title. I discuss concerns within the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine, replacement theology, "accepting Jesus into your heart" and a number of other issues. We'll get more precise in the next episode!

Husbands, wives! This is an extremely topical episode of something very dear to our household. What are some rewards of submission in a godly home? This subject will be tackled in a much more detailed way soon, but this is a very brief look into the topic as a whole, specifically from the vantage point of the role and gift of a submissive wife.

After coming across a video of some "pastor" ranting to no end about how he was going to assault a restaurant employee because his rights were being violated (aka he couldn't get his donut order without donning a mask), I took to the recorder to throw my two cents in. Hey Church, You're embarrassing Yourself yet again.

As I read Mark chapter 6, I was instantly stopped at verse 42 that simply states, that "all ate and were satisfied". This episode points out the simple fact that one can never be satisfied with what Yahweh provides until he sits down to partake of it.

I recorded this episode as I was traveling back to a region where we lived for many years. It struck me how full of twists and turns this life is, as we forge ahead attempting to live as foreigners in a strange land.
