God instituded the Psssover before the Hebrews left Egypt.  This was to be done by faith in victory, deliverance and judgment even before these took place.  We are to do the same today, although we don't seem to have the victory, we are to take Communion in victory, grateful for deliverance, and judgment on God's enemies.

As we continue to study the plagues of Egypt, we get an increasing understanding of how God deals with a State that is in control of all aspects of life.  In Egypt, Pharaoh and his agents attempt to control the Hebrew's worship of God.  God deals with those who try to keep His people from worshiping Him. 

In the first two plagues, turning the Nile into blood and the plague of the frogs, we begin to get an understanding of God's dealings with nations that reject His authority.  God went after the god of the Nile as well as the god of the frogs, humiliating the Egyptian religion.  However, Pharaoh's heart remained hardened.

God called Moses and yet used Aaron for many of the great tasks. Aaron was a cushion for Moses, one step away from the people so that the people wouldn'd become familiar with him. Familiarity leads to presumptuous sin. We study this along with Numbers Chapter 16 to get an understaning of the disastrous consequences of the sin of presumption.

God protects those who are His own. In this sermon we examine two implications of this. First, those who keep God's people from worshiping and serving Him and second, those who do not teach and train their children in the covenant. God's anger and retribution comes against both.
