There is none righteous. We have all sinned and fallen short of God's moral law. The penalty for this sin is death, and it must be paid. Somebody has to pay. Jesus gave His life on the cross to pay the penalty. Don't step over His body and go to hell because you think your works are good enough to pay the penalty. The first commandment warns us against idolatry. When we replace having a relationship with Jesus Christ with religion and worship the things of God but not God, we give Satan a seat in our lives.
