Isaiah 9 continues again seeing the prophecy of Christ's first and second advent.  This prophecy was given some 700 years before the birth of Christ.  May our eyes be open and our hearts desirous to receive truth and hope that is contained in this book of Isaiah.

1 John 5:5 " Who is he that overcometh the world, be he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" (KJV)  May we be overcomers, not by our own will strength but by FAITH in the one that has already defeated and overcome this world. John 16:33  Jesus said "....but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" 

1 John chapter 4.  As believers, we are in a spiritual battle BUT GOD He has given to us every thing we need for life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3,4.  May you be encouraged this day as you listen to Pastor Dave. AMEN  

1 John chapter 3.  Love of self or Love for God and others, "...let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me." Mark 8:34 KJV  May God by His Spirit teach us this day. 

Love is the outflow of the very Life of Christ in our lives .  In 1 John 3:11 we see the words "..love one another", "love the brethren" over and over.  Is this the outflow of our lives?  Listen with ears to hear and hearts to comprehend what God is telling us in this passage starting with 1 John 3:11.   

I John 2.  If this has always been a question you have had, Be encouraged.  This is your answer.  

Be encouraged with the message of "How you can know that you have Eternal Life ".  As Pastor Dave continues in this message, he will direct us to 1 John chapter 2 and discuss the spirit of the antichrist and the working of that spirit in the days that we are living.  Listen ! with ears to understand and hearts that desire to Know God. Ephesians Chapter 2.  A lost message in todays age of self reliance and humanism.  This is refreshing Truth that will encourage you this day.  These are troubling times we live in but we are not without Hope and assurance of the outcome.  Today may you be  brought to a higher depth of understanding  of God and His Only Son Jesus Christ and His desire for you.  

John speaks to us in absolutes here in 1 John 2:15.  Any thing we think about that is in the world substracts from our attention to God.    May the Holy Spirit teach us this day what this means.
