Changing times demands unchanging courage. While the world looks within themselves or to one another to discover who they are, we turn to God for His divine design and direction for our lives. God seeks the lost. Looks for the hurting. When the lost are found and the hurting are saved, there is a celebration in heaven that no party on earth can rival. Together, we can join God as He seeks those in great need of Him.

Pride is a problem that sneaks in and shows itself at just the wrong time. Through the parable of the prodigal son, we see how pride surfaces and how we solve the pride problem in our lives.

No matter how far we have drifted or no matter where we have wandered, there is always a welcome mat set out for us when we come home to God. The parable of the prodigal son shows us the way home.

Our thoughts are tremendously powerful. The way we think largely determines the way we live. The Bible has given us instructions on how to have a good thought life so we could ultimately live the good life.

As we step into the new year, don’t just look to be a new you. Let Jesus do something new in you! To have to live life to the full, we must trust Jesus and be changed by Him fully.

At Christmas, we celebrate differently.  It’s not just about giving and getting gifts, but about remembering the gift God gave to us, His Son Jesus. 

When the angel announced Jesus’ birth to Mary, he made it clear that the Savior they had been waiting for would soon come through a miraculous birth.  But the Savior would do more and be more than anyone had been looking for.  Mary would give birth to a King, God’s Son, who would rule and reign forever.   Jesus is God’s Son who is our way, truth, and life.

At Christmas, Jesus came for us and lives with us today.  When we believe in Jesus, we don’t have a momentary encounter with God, we have His permanent presence in our lives.  Because of Jesus, I have God’s help every day.

At Christmas, God shows how much we are worth.  God loved us first and sent His one and only Son for us.  My value is found in His love for me and what Jesus has done for me.  Because of God’s love, Jesus came to save me.

Joy and Jesus are a package deal so choose joy because you chose Jesus.

Where is Jesus in the midst of our troubles, trials, and even tragedies? He is with us and He is working. Be encouraged by Pastor Mike's message, put your hope in Jesus, and know how to help others, too.
