Flu Whupped 30.03.2023 25:54
After being taken over by the flu this week I reevaluate what it means to be in charge of one's body and one's life. It's almost April, the month for fools but not for ghosts. Go figure. I realize I should not have been ignoring Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats the past 10 years. I'm still recovering my friends. Hopefully Monday will find me healthier, stronger and not as sweaty.
Trolls 25.03.2023 15:50
I recorded this episode, processed it and then forgot to upload it to the distributor. I shouldn't be trusted to do a podcast. I have no idea what I'm doing. Next week will be better! I bet...
Judd Nelson's Stunt Double 20.03.2023 22:18
I had to practice last week's topic this week and let go of a friendship. And, surprisingly, it wasn't so bad. I'm not sure my wife knows how to make chili. I'm sure she thinks she knows how but she also thinks she made a good choice in a spouse. I have to figure out how to let her know. I'm noticing a resistance to aging in me and I'm trying to stop it. But when I realize it's been almost 40 year...
A Time To Let Go 17.03.2023 25:27
Well. This week has been rather hectic and I completely bailed on podcast duties. I never do that and I apologize. It's also been a week of letting go. I had to let go of one of my favorite things ever. I thought I was going to have to let go of my art gallery. There's a time to let everything go. Do you know when it is in your life? Okay, I'll let you go...
My Kid Could Do That 09.03.2023 38:09
I introduce my new video podcast this week and make plans to do some tinkering behind the scenes of Apocaleptic which, hopefully, no one will even notice. Let's see how that goes. I feel like discussing art a bit. What exactly is art? What do you consider art? It's a strange and subjective subject that even art professionals can't agree on. But just because a kid can do it doesn't mean it isn't re...
Chicken Jobs 07.03.2023 25:31
I planted a tree today. I don't normally plant trees. What I really want is a job eating chicken. I don't know how to make that work since I'm vegetarian but I hope there is a way to solve that minor problem. Are you collecting experiences in your life and making them who you are? I do that sometimes but I'm going to stop. Maybe you can stop with me. I mean if you want to. See you later in the wee...
It's The Law 02.03.2023 30:45
Counting down the days until St. Patrick's Day, how about you? I desperately need a pot of gold and a green beer. After last week's discussion about the new Tennessee law to regulate drag shows, I checked up on some other insane laws out there. There are a lot of them. Don't go out and get arrested now! Have a great weekend, friends. See you on Monday!
What A Drag 28.02.2023 23:58
It's difficult doing a podcast when you aren't in the mood to talk. That's the curse of being an introvert I suppose. Bear with me, my friends. I screwed up on this episode, thinking it was episode 33. So you can use this as a little preview to episode 33 if you want. I'm a little hacked off about mean politicians trying to ban or control drag shows. Has everyone else had their fill of mean and cr...
Be Quiet 24.02.2023 26:31
I've been hearing strange tones in my bed. Could it be a space creature? It's been making me wonder what it sounds like in outer space. Is it completely silent? Is there space wind? The sounds of astroids colliding? Weird bed tones? How much is the silence inside us similar to space silence? I wonder. Maybe too much. Hope you like this Friday show.
Fooling Around 20.02.2023 30:12
Can pineapple heal your eyes? a study in Taiwan shows a 70% improvement in some cases! Speaking of pineapple, a 2020 study shows many couples are beginning to change their relationship status from"monogamous" to "non-monogamous." Are you ready to make the switch? I checked with AI to find out how to keep a relationship working. This AI kid really seems to know something. See you next time friends!
Your Greatest Fears 16.02.2023 25:39
Do we inherit the loves and fears we have? You know, the deep down unexplainable attractions and repulsions in life that we all have. Where do they come from? Are they really ours or are they ancestral? Do you ever feel bad about treating yourself like royalty? Well, you shouldn't. In fact, you should be doing that much more often! You're looking good out there my friend. Come on back Monday.
Blue Glow 13.02.2023 29:22
Happy Monday, friends! It's my wife's birthday today. She's one of the most giving people I know. A true server. She puts me to shame. What kind of birthday present do you buy for a server? It's not easy. I've decided to tell a story that I've been holding in for 30 years. But realize it doesnt make me look very good. Still, it must be told, so hold off on the judgements, okay? See you next time,...
Cool Story, Bro! 09.02.2023 24:56
My eyes are no better but I gotta get used to it. Gonna be the way things are from now on. I'll just relax. Maybe I'll listen to my newest favorite ASMRtist. That always help. I'm performing at a storytelling event this weekend. Which me think of stories. What is the single defining story of your life? Do you have one? Should you make one up? Talk to you next week, friends!
Eyes Without A Face 06.02.2023 14:21
Another short show, friends. And not because I wanted it that way. I had an eye appointment today and my eyes are dilated and I can't see crap! So I can't read notes or news stores, might as well just complain, right?? Sorry. Thursday's show is gonna be great. I'll finally be able to see.
Losing It 02.02.2023 16:29
A short Thursday show for you, my friends. Ever have one of those days where you just think you might lose it? So what do you do? Me? I just record a Thursday podcast. See you on Monday, everyone.
It's Not Me It's You 30.01.2023 26:41
Hi friends! Hope your week is off to a good start. I have an idea of how to deal with the damage Van Halen did to me when I was younger. Tell me if you think it's a good idea. And speaking of good ideas, I've been thinking of a new, radical way to approach relationships. Although maybe it's only new and radical to me. Maybe everyone else has been doing this all along. Perhaps I'm the last big jerk...
Forgive Me 26.01.2023 32:35
I'm concerned about my neighbor. Haven't seen her in awhile. Has she met with foul play? How would I know? Should I call the cops? Maybe it's nothing and I'll look like a meddler. I don't know what the rules are. I heard someone talk about forgiveness and it caused me to think about it a bit. I'm wondering if we all understand forgiveness at all. Forgive me if you do. See you Monday.
I Wanna Dance With Somebody 23.01.2023 35:36
Did you ever watch someone dance and you just NEEDED to dance with them?? Something about the way they danced made you feel like you have to share in that moment with them? Yeah. Me too. This show is mostly about bipolar. I watched the documentary "Of Two Minds" on Amazon Prime and it made me think a lot about my own experiences being in relationships with people who deal with a bipolar brain. I w...
Connecting 19.01.2023 26:23
Aww, look, it's episode 21 of Apocaleptic! Our baby is all grown up. It can legally drink now and has the proper maturity level to vote. Later tonight it will gather with other 21 year old podcasts and chug tequila through a funnel in its rectum. Can't tell you how proud I am. Today's show is about connecting with other human beings. If you prefer not to, see above suggestion about tequila, funnel...
A Cancer Within the Regulators 16.01.2023 31:53
Welcome to Apocaleptic #20, friends! So sorry about Thursday's show accidentally getting trashed. Today, on this MLK Day Monday, I reflect on civil rights and the progress as well as the lack thereof which seems to have happened over the course of my own lifetime. What has been your experience? Reach out and let me know! Thanks for listening to the show and for your support.
Worship Me! 09.01.2023 30:09
Hello friends! Welcome to episode 19 of Apocaleptic! We're almost out of our teens and soon will be of legal drinking age and on the prowl! This week I'm considering the food dishes that it's impossible to screw up. Also, I accidentally invent a pretty great holiday beverage even though it's long after the holidays. Why do we need holy men? Holy people? Don't they just exist to make us feel bad ab...
How to Be Creative 05.01.2023 38:11
I have returned from my mountain vacation and survived the incredible disappointment of my shattered plans! Eh, no problem. On a positive note, I watched, by far, the worst film ever made. Don't believe me? You can check it out for yourself. Are you a creative person? Would you like to be but don't know how? I share my secret technique for tapping into and making use of creativity. And it doesn't...
Getting Lucky 31.12.2022 14:08
Happy 2023 everyone! I decided to release Monday's show a couple days early. After all, there is valuable information here that can keep you lucky all year! Stay safe and well out there!
My Date With 2022 29.12.2022 31:04
Goodbye 2022, ya bastard. For me, the year was full of loss but, strangely, I came out totally fine. I'm doing good how about you? I said goodbye to some friends, family members and company activities. I ate some good food and watched some great documentaries. I grew spiritually. I made some jokes about poop. Never let them typecast you! Thanks to everyone who came on the Apocaleptic journey with...
I'd Like to Thank the Little People 27.12.2022 27:08
The holidays are mostly done! Have you enjoyed them? I often wonder what it's like for people who have no religious connection to any of the holidays being forced to encounter them. Also, why is it all of the big movie bosses seem to have little people as their labor force? Santa, Willy Wonka, Keebler Cookies? Where is the logic? I'm not making resolutions this year but I do have a couple of goals...
