Our Taste Is Trash

We review James Gunn's "THE Suicide Squad", not to be confused with the putrid pile of trash that is Suicide Squad (2016). An IMDB list of top superhero movies shocks and amuses us and we take a look at upcoming superhero movies that we want to watch. If you like superhero movies there is a 27 percent chance you will like this episode. 

In this "minisode" Josh and Jade discuss which superhero movies, from 2000-21, are treasures and which are raging dumpster fires. They apparently both love Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool. But who doesn't? This is good stuff, so give it a listen. 

We talk a lot in this show. Apparently, we like Wes Anderson moves and this week we review, Rushmore, from the Our Taste is Trash top 100 movies. It's actually more like 94 movies because math is hard. Local filmmaker and host of the podcast Film Reverie, Mike Bekemeyer, joins Josh and Jade for a bit of film history. Robert Rodriguez, John Williams, Jaws, and even Mike's cat, Jeffery Lebowski, are topics of discussion in the chaos that is Our Taste is Trash. 

Josh and Jade are at odds about what constitutes a "bingeworthy" show and discuss some of their favorite films shot in Tampa. Review of Fear Street 1994 (Netflix). Part slasher, part comedy, all 90s. Find out if this flick is a treasure or dumpster fire.
