Many Christians believe that the Ten Commandments were definitely “nailed to the cross.” That is why it is popularly taught that we do not need to keep any of those commandments — and that as Christians, we are now freed from such obedience, provided we just believe in God.  Is that true? Let's take a look.

From the accounts of the Old and New Testament we can get a glimpse of what Jesus looked like. By piecing together verses we can get a good indication of the image of Christ. Does knowing what Jesus looked like help us get to heaven or is it just an interesting side note for Christians and non-Christians alike? Let's take a look.

God’s instructions are clear: His people must take the everlasting Gospel to every nation, tribe, language and people (Rev. 14:6). Then the end will come. Our sole purpose is to hasten the coming of Jesus by giving unreached people the opportunity to know Him and become His disciples. This may be in a distant land or in your neighborhood. Let's take a look at what it means to be a missionary.

The Five Solas are five Latin phrases that represent the core positions held by those who adhere to the Protestant Reformation that happened in the 16th century. The Five Solas are: Sola Scriptura, Solus Christus, Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, and Soli Deo Gloria. Let's take a look at them and the reason they came about.

As Christians we have a mission. There is something we should be doing as the followers of Christ. During His life, Jesus was preparing his church to rise and shine for Him. Let's look at what the Bible says about being a light to the world.

The Bible talks about cities of hope and promise where people seeking sanctuary could realize the prospect of a completely new beginning. These biblical cities of refuge provide tremendous insight into the plan of salvation and the wonderful promise of redemption through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Like the Philippian jailer, we all need to ask what we must do to be saved? The answer is in Jesus. There is a separation that sin creates between us and God. By acknowledging our sinfulness and coming to Christ, the Lord provides a bridge back to Himself. We must have faith and believe in what God can do for us.

Sometimes the fate of empires and the destiny of individuals rests on a simple word. Profound decisions are revealed by the little word "wait". Is your conscience a safe guide to follow? Can we always rely on our own inner sense to lead us in the right way? Not according to the Bible. We need more help outside of ourselves. If you want to experience an abundant life in Jesus, you must learn how to forgive those who have hurt you. When Christ forgives us, we must walk in that same spirit. When it is our motive to love and even forgive our enemies, only then will we reveal to others the most beautiful attributes of God. The temptation to lust is everywhere.  Attempting to rid your life of lust through will power alone is not enough. God's Word is living and powerful and is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, and is the long term cure to the lust epidemic. Let's go into the Word and see what it has to say about lust and overcoming its snare.

Treasure laid up in heaven is imperishable. No fire or flood can destroy it, no thief steal it, no moth or rust corrupt it. Our treasure in heaven is in the hands of God. We are encouraged to not put our efforts into attaining worldly possessions but to seek out heavenly treasure. This week lets take a look at what the Bible says about this.
