One New Man Ministries is an Ephesians 2 ministry of reconciliation. As Messianic Jews and Messianic Gentiles, together we study the Old and New Testament from the point of view of God's continuous revelation of His plan to redeem a people for Himself through His only begotten son, Yeshua Ha Meshiach, Jesus Christ. Yeshua means "salvation" and is God's merciful plan to save all people through their faith in Yeshua, Jesus, as the once and for all atoning sacrifice. He is "the gift of God" Eph2:8-22. "For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the divi...

Herald "the salvation of our God": Yeshua the perfect judge, king, priest, and prophet 20.08.2023

In our New Covenant passage, John 1:19-34, John the Baptist heralds, sees, and announces Yeshua (Jesus) which means salvation in Hebrew, as 29:"the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world". 33:"'He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'" We see in the Torah, Old testament, portion Deut 16:18-21:9, the foreshadowing of Yeshua as the fulf...

Rejoice in the LORD: "I am setting before you the blessing and the curse" 13.08.2023

Grace (unmerited favor) is God's gift. Because of this gift, we should be careful of our choices. Worshipping (what we value, "worth ship"), God will sow seeds that will result in the blessing, whereas worshipping "idols" sows seeds that will result in the curse. Each day, each moment is a choice, that leads one way or the other. Obedience leads to joy. He wants us to commune together in "the pres...

"Circumcise your heart": Because of God's grace and our salvation, Yeshua, we should desire to worship and obey 06.08.2023

We are the recipients of God's grace through faith because of the oath that He swore to Abraham, and His plan for redeeming a people for Himself, our salvation through Yeshua Ha Meshiach, Jesus Christ. Grace comes before obedience, relationship preceeds obedience. Because we have God's grace, we desire to obey. Then come the bessings of obedience, "if you will follow these rules" then God will ble...

The Shema: God is One, Love God and Love your neighbor 30.07.2023

The Shema, the watchword of the Jewish people, states "The LORD our God, the LORD is One."(Deut 6:4) We discuss the nature of the word "One" from a point of view of the trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Shema also is the great commandment, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your might"(Deut 6:5). And as Yeshua said, "You shall love y...

One Body in Christ: Communion, preparing one's heart with contrition and submission. 23.07.2023

Deuteronomy 1:45 "but the Lord hearkened not to your voice, nor gave ear unto you." We discuss difference between attrition, sorrow over the consequences of sin, versus contrition, the sorrow over sin itself. Contrition requires confession, submission, and a heart of repentance. We discuss the powerful sacrament of communion which is preceeded by confession, in order individually to receive God's...

Vows: Let your Yay be Yay. 17.07.2023

Numbers 30:3 "When a man makes a vow to the Lord,... he shall not break his word;". Vow " a solemn promise to consecrate something to God, or do something in His service or honor." Phillipians 3:8-11 "For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him,...the righteousness from God that depends on faith-that I may knw h...

"Zeal for your house will consume me". "Destroy this temple, and in 3 days I will raise it up." 10.07.2023

In John 2: 13-22, Jesus demonstrates his zeal for God. He links this to the destruction of his body and his resurrection. Because God is a jealous and faithful God, He expects our fidelity and faithfulness to Him. In the Old Testament parsha, Phineas was jealous for God, and what he did both made atonement for israel and stopped the plague. Yeshua, Jesus, as both God and man demonstrates both God'...

Balaam "a false prophet" vs Yeshua Ha Meshiach (Jesus Christ) "wisdom from God" 03.07.2023

Balaam: the difference between a "false prophet" who can "divinate" the word of God, but who is motivated for self, versus a true prophet. Balak appeals to Balaam, the gentile "prophet", to curse the Israelites, but Balaam is constrained to "speak the word of God". New Testament 1 Corinthians 1:20-31 makes clear God's plan for redemption: 22 " For Jews demand signs and Greeks desire wisdom, but we...

The red heiffer without one white hair was to be burned with its dung and its ashes mixed with living water and sprinkled on those contaminated by death in order to restore them to the camp and communion with the tabernacle of God. The mystery can be understood throgh Yeshua who born of the Spirit crucified for our sins conquering death and resurrected on the third day and to be our intercessor wi...

Korah's rebellion and God's plan for atonement and redemption 18.06.2023

Korah's rebellio stemmed from indepndence, pride, vain glory and rebellion. He challenges God and is swallowed up. The people still grumble and murmur propmpting God's curse of a plague, until Aaron the high priest at Moses prompting goes out with "incense" and atones for the people standing in between the living and the dead. This foreshadows our salvation through Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Meshiach...
