God calls us to be ready to serve Him during our lives - the big game. Knowing how to to both prepare and perform during the game are key if we are going to serve properly.

In the gospel of John, Jesus makes a bold claim: that life and sustenance can only be achieved through Him. This sustenance that he gives is key to connecting to God, our faith, and our world.

Our identity is based on us all being people made in the image of God, but what does it look like to wholly portray that identity?

In his final words to the disciples before being handed over to the authorities of the time, Jesus reveals two critical pieces of information: He is the only path to God, and that he is preparing heaven to be the home of those who follow that path.

When Jesus raised a man from the dead, he embodied his love for those that were there, and his love for mankind.

Each year, the shepherds at Oldham Lane update the congregation on all the good work that has happened over the past year, highlighting all the people involved in making it happen, as well as all the new and exciting things ahead in the coming year.

The Good Shepherd keeps us safe from those who would kill and destroy us, and not only that, but provides life to all who would accept it.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could make time our friend instead of our enemy? We can’t change the time we are allotted. However, a Biblical view of our allotted time promotes the abundant life that God wants us to enjoy.

Jesus is the door that allows us to have life and have it abundantly.

A new year means those dreaded new years resolutions... This isn't to say I don't have great respect for those who set goals and achieve them. I do. But the reality is we make these resolutions and often fail to stay true to them. But what if we, as the Lord's church, resolved to be something more?

Jesus is the light of the world, the objective source of truth from God, who reveals to us the path to life everlasting.

We spend our days filling our spiritual stomach with things that only satisfy temporarily, but Jesus, as the bread of life, can fill our spiritual stomach with enduring food that never fades.

The birth of Jesus finally arrives, and does so without any great or bold moments, but rather takes place in a humble way. Our Lord is born in humble means, embodying those he came to save: the lowly, the poor, and the humble.

Who are we as Christians? What do we believe? Are we ready to give an account? In order to be ready for these questions, we need to know what beliefs form the foundation for who we are.

God is visiting, and at the birth of John, his father Zechariah’s speech is restored so that he can tell us all about the powerful horn of salvation that will melt away the shadow of death and expose the pathway of peace.

Christian Fellowship is not simply a time in conversation, but a choice to dedicate ourselves to one another's well being, encouraging one another through our faith.

As the lives of John and Jesus intersect for the first time, magnificent realties about God’s patterns and promises for his people, the humble, are unveiled.

When Paul Addresses the Aeropagus in Acts 17:22-34, he approaches to them a new idea, one that puzzled and intrigued them: A God of All Being, one who is not unknown, but rather the Lord of all creation. It is this Lord who set the universe in it's place, and who we serve.

In Luke 1:26-38, in the small town of Galilee, an angel of the Lorde foretells to a young virgin who had found His favor of the miraculous events to unfold in her body, and God begins Israel's final preparations for the Messiah.

God has made no secret of the winning hand in either life or holiness. Holiness and happiness are often misunderstood by outsiders and Christians alike. Scripture is clear in its mandate for a holy life but what is often missed is how this is inextricably entwined with happiness.

In Luke 1:1-25 we see the plans of God intersecting with the lives of Zechariah and Elizabeth in a way that blesses them personally and prepares the world for the savior.

We are blessed to have Jesus as our Good Shepherd but what does it mean for us to be His sheep? Just as Jesus gives plentifully to us, we are to also give ourselves to Him by being able to let Him enter within the sheepfold of our lives.

Not only does the word of God press us to faith in Christ, but it steps into our lives, redirects us, and prepares to live how we were designed.

The Church is the final result of a family that God has been planning and growing since the start of the world. His word is the annals of our family's history, and He has been faithful throughout.
