Off The Bench

In hour two, the crew covers a little bit of everything — honestly, your guess is as good as ours. We talk some golf, discuss Chris Olave and the Saints, and Matt and Jake get into a conversation about NFL training camp facilities. (editor's note: not my favorite hour ever).

We kick off hour one with a completely random conversation about birds and bridges before eventually finding our way back to sports. We recap everything that happened over the weekend at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, break down the biggest results, and look ahead to the upcoming knockout-round matchups.

In hour three we discuss the Major League Baseball Players Association pushing to eliminate player prop betting because of the harassment players receive from fans after losing bets and parlays. We also rip some sports card packs live on the air before wrapping up the show with Ask Huck.

In hour two we talk more about the NCAA's new 5-for-5 eligibility rule and how, less than 24 hours later, there is already a lawsuit against the NCAA. Matt also shows Huck a legendary 90s baseball movie, we discuss the growing hype around Ty Benefield, and we touch on the Mets firing their manager.

We kick off hour one with Matt trying to rage bait Jake over soccer terminology. Jake attempts to get the show back on track with some World Cup discussion, but the conversation quickly turns into a rabbit hole about Turkey, why the country wants to be called Türkiye, and all the questions that come with the name change.

In hour three, Matt eulogizes Brendan Sorsby’s career before the crew goes around the room predicting what could be next for him. Chef Michael Johnson joins us for Munchies, and we wrap up the show with Ask the Bench.
