Oceans of Love with Dr. J. Ralph McIntyre

Brother McIntyre began the morning service with two questions. "Who is the best Christian you know?" and "Did anyone think of you?" The Christian life is a life of development and growth. The tragedy is if you stop growing. So the question now is, "Are you the best Christian you can be?"

In this inspiring sermon Dr. McIntyre says, "The praises of the Christian life is one of the great and wonderful and sweet fragrances that we can present to the throne of Christ, the most wonderful thing in all the world. Do you have power? The key to it all is faith and in the exercise of faith we have praise. Praise to Him. Praise God from whom all blessings flow."  

Dr. McIntyre preached that Christians are the eternal children of the King. You are worth so much more than you think you are. Act upon on how valuable God says you are and grow in a Christ like manner.

This message came from the passage on John's vision of the New Jerusalem. And as that city is designed perfectly balanced so does God want that in our Christian life. Dr. McIntyre asked the congregation in this morning service, "Do you want a blessing for your  home, your house, your life, your business, your class, your church?" Christians need to remember that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It is not ours. It was bought with a price, therefore, honor God with your body. 

Dr. McIntyre began the evening service with the question, "What shall I do with Jesus?" The most important question to ever be asked. No one asks what shall I do with Socrates or what shall I do with Moses or what shall I do with Shakespeare. But a valid question for everyone is, "What shall I do with Jesus?"  

Dr. McIntyre begins the evening message with the question, "What is your life and how much is it worth?" He then proceeds to preach on all the value God places on your life and all He has done for you. How valuable we are in the sight of God. 

This message was delivered on Mother's Day 1988 at First Baptist Church of Jackson, Tennessee.  This was the first time in 63 years that Brother McIntyre celebrated Mother's Day without his mother who passed away 3 months before. Dr. McIntyre's message this morning was taken from the 68th Psalm and tells of David seeing a dove in a refuse pile that suddenly flies off and David observes the dust flying off his feathers and shining like silver and gold in the rays of the sun. From this Scripture passage Brother McIntyre explains what it means and how it can be applied to our lives today. 

Dr. McIntyre continued his series on the book of Malachi showing how Malachi wanted the people to have holy lives and lives fulfilling the purpose for what God wanted them to be. The application for today is that we belong to the Lord and the totality of our lives belong to Him and that is what each of us should strive for. 

Dr. McIntyre encouraged the congregation to do what they can with what the Lord has given them no matter what the circumstances in life. Be faithful with what they have and use the blessings the Lord has given them.

This is the second message on Dr. McIntyre's Sunday evening series on the Book of Malachi. Unfortunately message number one is not available. This message begins with verse six of chapter one. Malachi chapter one is a chapter of love and the Lord loves us by telling us the truth about our lives.
