Gardai in Donegal have sounded warnings over bogus tradespeople operating in the County. There have been several reports made to Gardai over the last 24 hours. If follows similar incidents in County Sligo earlier this year. Divisional Crime Prevention Officer Fergus McGroary has this advice:

Motorists in Sligo are displeased with what they call unneccessarily low speed limits in the county. The old N4 stretch from Castlebaldwin to Collooney, now designated as the L3700, has gone from a 100 kilometre per hour speed limit to a sixty kilometre per hour route. Local Fianna Fail Cllr Liam Brennan says that local motorists are getting penalised.

A new Greenway across the North West has received a further boost. Phase 3 of the Sligo Leitrim and Northern Counties Greenway is set to begin soon.
