After releasing a song on the Reagan Movie Soundtrack last year & releasing a New Song & Video/Tribute to Christian Artists we’ve known who have gone before us. We were asked to do a documentary of the Decade plus years of the Sweet Comfort Band

Just some words that quickly uncluttered my own mind

 yer feeling disoriented in your heart n mind… so you start cleaning the garage.

The Song is called “Feel The Love” .. and I say “Feel the Chills” at the end!!! Chuck’s Lead Vocal and Harmony’s from Tommy Coombs and Jay Truax is what  The Jesus Revolution Movie never captured about Love Song!!

Now the late Chuck Girard, primary singer in the band Love Song wrote the most compelling Christian song I ever heard. Spoke to me more than all the sermons I sat under. The sweet serenity of a presence of God I felt in this song drove me to cross the country in search of my own place in serving Jesus as he did.

Got word today of Chuck Girard’s passing. Singer Songwriter for the Jesus Music Band that inspired me most. LOVE SONG. This song made me leave the east coast at 19 and drive to California. Just to be where that kind of “Jesus music” started.

Quiet Prayers was winner of Dove Award’s Best Inspirational Album of the Year It was so unexpected I wasn’t in the audience to come up and take the Award. This song is for my wife today 6 days after a burst appendix and recovering slowly while fighting Trigiminal Neuralgia.

When yer winnin the war on the fight in front of you and suddenly you’re flanked by a new enemy.

Playin music in a big hall with lights and smoke and a huge crowd isn’t where most musicians live most of the time. The music might have changed but the savior we proclaimed has not.

In disillusionment where “you still believe in yourself to mend” “You Think Its Losing…. What You Cannot Control” In the valley of the shadows Jesus says “DO YOU LOVE ME” as if to add “Still”  

The Bible does say that “you will have trouble in this life”

Infections take a longer prescription of Antibiotics to clear. Maybe I should start a regiment

As fans of CS&N, and the Eagles, & Love Song we would add that flavor to Breakin’ The Ice with “The Lord Is Callin You” Listen for the synth solo on the end, played by Larry Williams (not Me) & one of the horn players

The project brought us high marks, but it wasn’t my favorite. Why? because it was humbling bein around so much outrageous talent. I was the weakest link. .

We had to learn to make room for more musicians when we brought in half of the band Seawind, including the Seawind Horns
