It started out rough, gets better, and finishes strong. I hope you take the time to listen to a discussion my boys and I had on Proverbs 17 and 18. You will hear how the importance of relationships, communication, and making God first in our lives will lead us to good things.

This chapter is fascinating. So many times we make plans for our future or decisions in the present without waiting for God to speak. Read chapter 16 of Proverbs and listen to the podcast to understand how to encourage your adult children to seek God’s will for their lives and know that He will provide a way- even when there seems to be no way.

Proverbs 15 is an in-depth study on talking and listening. A study in how we use our words to encourage or to tear down our adult children. Also there’s many verses about how we take advice and listen to others who are wiser than us.

With so much evil in the world it seems like the attacks against our children are coming from all directions- infertility, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, job loss. But all hope is not lost. Ephesians 6:10-18 tells us the we can put on the full armor of God. We can extinguish those fiery darts we don’t have to be victims and neither do our adult children.

Whether your adult child is starting their first job, moving into their first apartment, or having their first child- each and every milestone is a different blessing from God but can be a real challenge. As you pray for them, do so with patience and understanding. These are big steps!
