"Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!" As we close out our Summer Psalms series, we come to Psalm 57. This psalm, written by David as he hid in a cave while fleeing Saul, teaches us that our confidence is anchored in the very nature of God which has been revealed in Jesus Christ.

As we continue in our Summer Psalms series, we come to Psalm 130. This psalm helps us recognize our own sinfulness, hope in the Lord for forgiveness and redemption, and respond to God’s grace with worship and trust. Here, we see that God’s promise of forgiveness is our hope for redemption.

Praise the Lord! We're given this command almost 250 times in the pages of Scripture, and Psalm 146 is a clear call to encourage God’s people to look to God for help and trust in Him, rather than human leaders, for hope!

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? These few words summarize so many questions we're asking in this current cultural moment. Yet Psalm 2 doesn't just ask the question, it also gives us action and a hope. "Blessed are all who take refuge in him."

As we continue in our Summer Psalms series, we come to Psalm 8. In this epic Davidic song, we see the glory and majesty of God proclaimed to all who will hear. We see that we are to acknowledge His reign and dominion now and look forward to His full and final eternal reign and dominion over all things. Here, we learn that the majestic Creator of the universe cares for mere creatures like us.

This week we kick off our summer series in the Psalms. Psalm 97 testifies to the greatness of God and exhorts us to rejoice in his glory. Here, we read that we have everlasting joy because of the Lord’s everlasting reign.

It's Baptism Sunday! This week, we look at Romans 6:3-11 to learn what Baptism is, why we do it, and why it matters. In light of the context of Romans 5-6, we also look at Baptism’s implications for Christian life and obedience. Here, we see that because we are raised with Jesus, we are to walk in newness of life.

Ben Potloff · This week, we come to the final chapter of our series through the Book of Jonah. In this final scene, we see Jonah's response to God's mercy on Ninevah. Here, we see we are to be merciful, just as our Father is merciful.

Ben Potloff · This week, Jonah comes to Ninevah with a message from God. This rebellious prophet warns this wicked city of the destruction coming if they don't turn to God. In this chapter, something incredible happens. Here, we see that when sinners genuinely repent, God graciously relents.

Ben Potloff · This week, we come to the second chapter of the Book of Jonah. Last week we saw Jonah, fleeing from God, board a ship going away from where God had commanded him to go. In the midst of a storm this rebellious prophet is thrown overboard and is swallowed by a fish. This week, we read Jonah's prayer to the Living God and we see that salvation belongs to the Lord.

Ben Potloff · This week, we begin a new sermon series in the Book of Jonah. Our first week introduces us to Jonah, a prophet of God who chooses to rebel when commanded to prophesy to the people of Ninevah. As we'll see throughout the whole book, this first chapter of Jonah reveals that nothing can stop God's grace.

Ben Potloff · What does it look like to bear one another's burdens? How do we not grow weary of doing good? This week, we look at a section of Paul's letter to the Church at Galatia where he instructs the believers on how they are to love and serve each other. Here, we see that as God’s family we show Christ-like love and do Spirit-led good.

Ben Potloff · This week, we look at 1 Corinthians 12:4-31. The Apostle Paul is instructing the Corinthian church on the building blocks of the body of Christ. He makes clear that the body functioning correctly is essential to the Church fulfilling its mission. Here, we see that all believers are empowered by God and essential to the church.

Ben Potloff · This week, we begin a new sermon series: The Church Gathered. As we look at 1 Peter 2:4-10, we are instructed by Peter that we are like living stones "being built up as a spiritual house," (v. 5b). Here, we see that we are the people of God called to proclaim the praises of God.

Ben Potloff · This week, we begin The Church Scattered sermon series. In our text, we see Peter confess Jesus as the Messiah. This story teaches us to persevere because we know that Jesus is building His Church.

Darryl Elledge · This week, we look at Psalm 51. This psalm comes from King David after he was accused by Nathan the Prophet. Here, we see David dealing with the pain and separation from God that is caused by sin. This psalm contains good news for sinful people.

Ben Potloff · Are we there yet? In this season of pandemic, many of us just want to know, "are we there yet?" No matter where we're all at specifically, there is great hope in Psalm 84. King David writes about the strength, grace, and hope that we ultimately have in King Jesus.

Ben Potloff · This week, we look at Psalm 27. Written by King David, this prayer demonstrates many of the different emotions we experience as humans. Ultimately, this psalm reminds us that even in difficult situations, we should "wait for the Lord; be strong, and let [our] hearts take courage; wait for the Lord!" (v14)

Ben Potloff · This week we look at Psalm 90. The only Psalm authored by Moses, Psalm 90 deals with massive realities for God's people. Moses, as he's crying out to God, teaches us how to pray and call out to God in all seasons of life.

Ben Potloff · This week, we turn to Psalm 32. In this psalm written by King David, we are confronted with the harsh realities of unconfessed sin. However, there is great hope in responding to the instruction of this psalm. Here, we see that we should uncover our sin and be covered by God's grace.

Ben Potloff · This week, we're jumping back into the Psalms. Our text, Psalm 28, is a psalm written by King David where he calls out to the God who is his strength and his shield. Here, we see that God carries His people through the valley.

Ben Potloff · King Jesus has risen! Today, we continue our journey through Matthew's account of Holy Week with the story of Jesus' resurrection. This is good news for us and it changes everything about how we live and who we place our faith in!
