The last six commands detail how God desires that His people relate with one another. When the Israelites arrive at Mt. Sinai after three months in the wilderness, they are instructed to consecrate themselves for what comes next. Before God gives them the law, He has a moment of DTR with them in which He tells them they are His most treasured possession and what their identity and mission are. His message to them echoes God's desire for His church.

This message encourages Christian leaders to see the people whom God has raised up to come alongside them for help, encouragement and spiritual battle. Two instances with Moses reinforce the principle of humility in leadership, and both are deeply encouraging to the church today to remember that it takes all of God's people to accomplish all of God's mission.

This week at Northstar we looked at the birth and early life of Moses in Exodus 2. Jeff shared that our failures can be a bright spot when God is behind them. We learned that God heard, remembered, saw, and knew the Israelites—just like He hears, remembers, sees, and knows us.

This week at Northstar we kicked off a new series in Exodus. We learned that God keeps His promises to His People. Jeff shared that his hope for our study of Exodus is that it speaks deeply to us, shapes us, and makes us incredibly thankful that God is a rescuing God.

As we finish our series in Philillipians we wanted time to spend some time reflecting on what God has taught us during this series.

Jeff wraps up our study of Philippians and shared that “God’s got people.” He reminded us that God is working in people’s lives and encouraged us to never think that our place doesn’t matter. We are all saints in Christ Jesus!

Jeff continues in the Philippians series looking again at verses 10 - 19 from a different perspective where he takes a deeper look into the Philippians’ ongoing financial hardships and how that did not keep them from giving with great joy to support even those they didn’t know, far away.

In this message, Jeff provides helpful insights on what to do after you pray.

This message highlights a series of bullet-point imperatives in four verses which lead to experiencing the peace of God. What we learn here is the importance of orienting our hearts prior to prayer in order to submit our needs to God in prayer.

In this message, Darrell touches on the importance of "Looking at the Picture" and imitating Christ from the picture that we are given in the Word.

Matt reminded us that a mark of spiritual maturity is knowing that we will never be able to say "I've made it" in our walk with Christ. Our lives should reveal that Christ has taken hold of us. A life taken hold of by Christ sees salvation as a stimulant to know Christ more.

Jeff's sermon this Sunday reflects on Paul and how everything in his life, he counted as loss because of the supreme value of Jesus Christ. We must not let anything get in the way of knowing Jesus personally and directly.
