Danny Brown led Saddle River Day from the depths to the top of the mountain in Bergen County girls basketball as the head coach and athletic director. Across 10 groups in the North Jersey public school state football playoffs there were only three "upsets" according to the seeds. Two  #5s  beat two  #4s  and one  #7  kept its season alive. River Dell, which got a two-point conversion in overtime to down Mendham.
