King David, the greatest King Israel had known, was close to dying. The next King of Israel would be David's son, Solomon. David, understanding the significance of the matter, calls his son to his side and challenges him to accept the legacy being handed down and to commit to passing it on to generations to follow.

Where are ministries born? How do they begin? Who starts ministries? The most successful ministries often are not started by hired ministers but by the congregation members. God gives special tasks to special people at special times. What has to happen for God to birth a ministry?

What did Jesus mean when He cried out on the cross, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" Was He really and truly forsaken by the Father, or was it a figure of speech? Was He doubting God? Why did He ask when He was the Son of God? Did he not know the answer?

And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised, because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect. Hebrews 11:39-40

All of our lives there are voices calling out to us to follow. The book of Proverbs speaks often about being aware of who we listen to and choosing the right course means following the right voices, the right leader, the right Lord.

God made Himself known as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – a God of generations. It is our job as believers to pass on the mighty works of God and marvelous grace of the Gospel from generation to generation. This task is not an easy one, and the devil has pulled out all of the stops to hinder our progress, but the God of all generations encourages us through His Word empowering us to complet...

Is there any comfort when there are no answers?

Do you believe in the resurrection of Jesus? Each person must deal with that question and what it means to their life. This Easter we take a look at the multiple stages of understanding the resurrection and peace, faith and power that comes from knowing that the stone was rolled away.

Paul is sharing that those of us who have received Christ are blessed beyond measure because we know God’s plan and the purpose of Christ’s death. We know the mystery. The knowledge of the mysterion or the gospel brings the responsibility to share it with others. Paul reviewed this plan with the Colossians.

Evangelism, the sharing of the "good news" that Jesus Christ has made provision for the sins of men, is the responsibility of every believer. Utilizing each spiritual gift, God mobilizes the church into a mighty army performing the work of redemption.

Scripture has a lot to say about those who are in need - the poor, the oppressed, the marginalized, the discriminated against. The Body of Christ must display the heart of Christ, so a church that looks like Jesus takes care of the poor. A church that looks like Jesus makes a difference. Are you ready to be a part of a church that looks like that?

Reconciliation has a beautiful and significant meaning for those who have come to know Christ personally. Reconciling is a lot harder than it seems it would be though because relationships can be emotionally tricky and delicate. So before we can understand what God has done, today we are going to start by looking at reconciliation in personal relationships.
