Last night just before 9pm a fire was reported in a detached garage on Iverson Court in Cottage Grove.  Newport, St Paul Park, and Woodbury Ambulance provided mutual aid.

Early this morning a vehicle fled from a traffic stop on 35W.  This lead to a chase and eventual PIT maneuver.

Early this morning a vehicle in Eden Prairie fled after entering a driveway and spotting an officer.  This led to a lengthy chase.  

Communications between counties and the National Weather Service office in Chanhassen during yesterdays severe weather.

Yesterday afternoon crews were called for a house fire on White Bear Ave near Aldrich Arena in Maplewood.  St Paul, Oakdale, White Bear Lake, and North St Paul provided mutual aid.

This evening a person aboard Spirit 558, an Airbus A320 enroute from Fort Lauderdale to Pittsburgh, had a seizure.  The aircraft contacted New York via HF radio on 8933khz who established a phone patch with a doctor.  

Early this morning a vehicle wanted for speed fled police in the St Paul area eventually ending up in Vadnais Heights where he fled on foot. 

A lengthy chase which started in North Dakota, came into Minnesota and then crossed back into North Dakota at Oslo.  

Around 1:45 this morning crews responded to reports of smoke in an apartment at the Maplewood Apartments on Larpenteur in Maplewood.  Fire was discovered when they arrived and several departments provided mutual aid including White Bear Lake, North St Paul, Oakdale and Little Canada.

This morning around 3:30 multiple calls were received for a fully engulfed house fire on Little Bluestem Trail in Lake Elmo.  Stillwater and Bayport provided mutual aid.  

On this day in 2005 St Paul Police Officer Gerald Vick was working an undercover detail on St Paul's east side when he was shot and killed after a confrontation with two people.  This is some audio I recorded from the manhunt that followed.  Of note is that this was before St Paul had switched to a digital radio system so it sounds much different than today.

You may have seen posts  about aircraft (https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=~2a89ee) circling the area.  This evening it identifies as Troy049 on ATC and say to be a Cessna 206.  A google search links that callsign to the CPB. That's not confirmed those so take it as it is

Around 5:15 this evening Ramsey County aired a pick up and hold for a suspect wanted on a felony domestic assault warrant who was thought to be on Hoffman Road in White Bear Lake.  After realizing he had been being spotted he fled on foot.

Around 12:30 AM Oakdale was called to the Hampton Inn for a verbal dispute in one of their rooms.  When they arrived a male fled in a Monte Carlo leading officers on a chase at speeds up to 120MPH.

Shortly after 11pm a call was received for a garage fire on Xingu Street in Columbus.  When crews arrived they found the garage to be fully involved.  Lino Lakes and Wyoming provided mutual aid. 

Around 12:40pm a call was received for fire in a multi unit residential building on Pondview Court in Vadnais Heights.  When Sheriffs deputies arrived they reported fire on a second story porch.  Little Canada, Lake Johanna, Maplewood and White Bear Lake provided mutual aid.  

Around 7:20am a call was received for flames in a basement on Labore Road in Little Canada.  When crews arrived they found fire in the basement.

Around 11:40 a call was received for a house fire on Lake Drive in Columbus.  When crews arrived the house was fully engulfed.  Responding departments: Hugo, Forest Lake, Lino Lakes.  Wyoming sent and engine to Forest Lake to standby at their station. 

This morning around 7:45 a silver Mustang led police on a wild chase around central Ramsey County eventually crashing.  The driver was known to be armed and dangerous and has a history of fleeing.  They were also apparently involved in an earlier chase in Anoka County.  

This morning a taxi was stolen and followed by GPS for awhile before police began a chase.  The driver ran over a pedestrian, rammed squad cars, went the wrong way on one way roads, went up on sidewalks, and eventually went into the ramp of the Federal Building

Learn geography from a chase: Quamba is a small town (pop 127) on MN 23 in Kanabec County.  Originally called mud creek after a creek which flows through but was changed to Quamba once a depot on the Great Northern Railroad was built.  The city is 0.72 square miles in size.
