No Disrespect

We went to some shows and oh my god people who go to shows are freaks. Including us. Also, Dan got The Cup™

Ska goes anti-vax, Dan takes on Robocop, and we make a SHOCKING discovery at the end of the episode that derails the whole thing. 

There's a new Jackass movie and also some NFT bros did something stupid so we're back to talk about truly the dumbest parts of existence. 

We asked you all to do some dumb stuff and by god you provided. The big dumb emo fest, the big dumb band breakup, the big dumb millionaries fighting, and so on. 

Hoo boy! We're back and everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Bad audio, crashing Zoom chats, and even more dumb stuff abounds. We'll get better next time. 

It's the end of the year so we're doing the thing that everyone is doing: sort of talking about the best music of the year! And we get into a big ol' fight but who cares, whatever!

Last week, news broke that Gared O'Donnell, frontman for Planes Mistaken For Stars, had died. So instead of our normal nonsense, we put decided to talk about Gared's impact on our little music world. We even had some friends call in and tell stories and share memories about Gared.  Planes forever. 

You demanded it, we begrudgingly listened. This week we return to talk about a whole bunch of dumb things, like NFTs and that woman in that brass band pissing on that guy. Dan also makes David suffer cruel indignities, because Dan's famous now. 

Did you guys know that Dan wrote a book called Sellout and it's coming out in October? Did you know you can order your copy at sellout.biz? In advance of his worldwind publicity tour, we gave him some media training. It went…fine.

Did you get the vaccine and then your balls got way too big? If so, this episode is for you. There's also a Chip Controversy and talks of reunions and, honestly, who knows what else. 

Listen, I'm going to be totally honest here and just say that I'm not really sure what this episode is about. Every week we get further from sanity and that's just gonna be what it is. 

No, seriously. Please stop us.  We mostly talk movies and Letterboxd scores and maybe seeing live shows but, also, maybe just staying home and watching bad movies?

Against all odds, here we are, in the year of our lord, talking about Limp Bizkit. We talk about them being a bad band, defend them against stupid accusations, and, most importantly, jump da fuck up!!!!

P*tchfork asked their readers to submit their 25 favorite albums from the past 25 years and we decided to just steal that prompt and run with it. But we also didn't do a ton of research so we just fire blindly with albums that we like. If you disagree go ahead and cancel us online, it's fine. 

Once again, we talk about some very inane things, like what is pop-punk and that guy who just asks questions on twitter 50 times a day. Dan gets apoplectic at the end. 

Old punks touring with that one ska band over and over to say they value diversity, movies are too expensive, and Dan gets silenced for his controversial takes. Real grab bag of an episode here. 

Our weekly rage dump returns to talk about chicken sandwiches, emo nights, and…I don't know something else, probably. 

Can you believe we're still doing this thing? Well, we are, and this week Dan and David are talking internet loons, festivals, the best Simpsons episode, and why you should buy 20 copies of Dan's book just in case. Typing that out makes this sound like a real mess but, honestly, who cares. 

Dan and David are back to talk about the big dumb idiots again! Plus, other dumb idiots, ska revival talk, and should there be an Operation Ivy reunion?

In our final episode of 2018, we talked about all the things that didn't float our boats. We drop the hammer on quite a few records, and we're not sure how any of those bands are going to recover from that. To quote our dear friend Jay Sherman, "It stinks!"

This year, well, things get a little loud. In the second week of our Albums of the Year series, we touch on the heavy stuff, be it hardcore, metal, punk, or something that falls in between those genres. Lots of good stuff to be had here, so dig in, baby. 

Lots of good records came out this year and we talk about some of them here, mostly of the indie and rock variety. We also talk about how bad the new Smashing Pumpkins album is and Dan makes a pretty good mashup that will haunt your dreams.

Dan embarrassed himself real bad in front of the Wu-Tang Clan and about 400 other people and we rehashed his nightmare in great detail. We also talked about Enter the 36 Chambers, an album that rules. 

In this week's episode, we talk about how Dan hates dogs, that new Queen movie, some records, and other stuff. And of course, no disrespect, capiche?
