Finishing our look at Acts 15, we discuss what it looks like when brothers and sisters in Christ have problems that can't just be ignored.

With the council deciding that Christians are saved by grace and not by law, James must put his plan into action and make sure everyone's voice is heard.

This week's sermon follows Peter as he escapes from Herod Agrippa, with the assurance that God hears our prayers.

This week we start with Chapter 12 of Acts with verse 1-4, where we see three assurances from God.

This week we looked at what it means to work with new believers. By studying the actions of the Jerusalem church and our old friend Barnabas, we can see concrete examples of how to include new believers into the Family of God.

Today, we look at Acts 10:1-18. Peter's argument to the Jerusalem church of why we need to accept new believers.

This week we finish Acts 10 with a look at Peter's gospel message to the Gentiles, and the Holy Spirit's indwelling. This is a powerful moment that changes the course of history.

This week we continue our look at when the Holy Spirit came to the Gentiles. We see how Peter was still confused, but was willing to listen to God. We see the hopelessness of Cornelius, and we see what we can learn as a congregation.

This week we look at Acts 10:1-23, a very symbolic moment where God removes the dietary restrictions of the Old Testament as a teaching moment to show how Jews and Gentiles are both equal under God. The recording changes about halfway through. My recorder died during the service and I had to finish it at home.

We finish Acts 8 by looking at the Ethiopian as a man who was earnestly seeking the Lord.

This week we look at Acts 8: 9-25 where we look at Simon the Sorcerer as he tries to sneak his way into a fledgling church.

In a look at Acts 8:1-13 we look at two men who both had zeal for the Lord, Saul and Philip. Where they pointed their zeal and how it was expressed made all the difference.

A look at the end of Stephen's life, where he becomes the first Christian martyr. We look at the four consequences of Stephen's death and discuss how any life lived for Christ is a life well lived.

A look at Acts 7: 1-53. I don't read the entire scripture, but instead look at four things modern Christians should take from this Jewish history recitation.
