Excitement is building over the release of the new Netflix drama House of Guinness, which follows the story of the Guinness family through Dublin and New York.   Joining Shane to chat about the show are Screenwriter Steven Knight and one of the stars of the show, Dervla Kirwan.

Several TDs have written to the Ceann Comhairle to ask that Danny Healy Rae withdraw remarks he made about autism during a private members’ motion on special education school places this week. We get reaction to this with Adam Harris, CEO of AsIam Ireland’s autism charity. 

More than 165,000 workers are on course for a pay bump under coalition plans to increase the minimum wage by at least 55 cent an hour, pushing it above €14.  A report submitted by the Low Pay Commission to Enterprise Minister ­Peter Burke recommended an increase of between 4 and a half and 5 percent on the minimum wage. This would amount to around 65c an hour above the current rate of €13.50....

The charity Gambling Care is hosting a panel discussion today on the importance of accessible care for those with gambling problems and addictions. Central to this discussion is the impact that gambling has on the friends and family members of the person with the addiction.     Ciara spoke to Nicola Keating, whose husband is a recovering gambling addict, to share her story.

Nursing Homes Ireland calls for urgent action on capacity, workforce and equitable access for nursing homes.   This comes as the ESRI warns that demand could surge by 80 per cent in coming years, with an additional 15,000 beds required by 2040.    Shane discussed this and more with Tadhg Daly, CEO of Nursing Homes Ireland.

Gardaí searching for Daniel Aruebose, who went missing when he was three years old have found human remains at a site in Donabate, north Dublin.  The remains are expected to be removed from the site on the Portrane Road for a post-mortem examination later today. We get the latest on this with Barry Whyte, Chief Newstalk Reporter.

Teenage boys are now spending more time playing video games than they are at school, according to UK research from gambling addiction charity Ygam.  They found boys aged 15 to 17 play 34 hours a week, which is roughly five hours a day.
