Over 19,000 vehicles were seized by An Garda Síochána for driving without insurance in 2025, a new report published by the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Ireland has revealed. To discuss these findings further Anton spoke to Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Ireland CEO David Fitzgerald.

Henry McGowan has been found not guilty for the murder of his father by reason of insanity.    The jury accepted evidence that the 31-year-old was suffering from schizoaffective disorder when he killed his father at the Ballyfin Demesne hotel. But what happens when someone is found not guilty by reason of insanity? All to discuss with Trina O’Connor, Criminologist .  

Following the tragic death of 16-year-old Grace Lynch in Finglas in January many people have been calling for the Government to implemented stricter rules on e-bikes.  Green Party councilor Conor Dowling for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown thinks that we should be promoting e-bikes in order to improve road safety, believing that they are part of the solution. Conor spoke to Anton this morning.

The FAI has confirmed that Ireland will play against Israel in the UEFA Nations League to avoid disqualification.  This is despite FAI calls to ban Israel from European club and international competitions.    Anton gets reaction to this with Aodhán Ó Ríordáin, Labour MEP and also Daniel Epstein O’Dowd, Spokesperson with Ireland Israel Alliance .

The role of a stay-at-home parent is now valued at over 60 thousand euro per year. That’s according to new research from Royal London Ireland whose Senior Propositions Executive Karen O’Flaherty explain the research. Anton discusses these findings with Susanne Rogers Research and Policy Analyst at Social Justice Ireland.

Trinity College Dublin will become a vape-free campus from March 18th. Members of the Trinity Health team will be monitoring the campus, asking students, staff and visitors do not smoke.   Anton spoke to Martina Mullin, Healthy Campus Manager at Trinity College Dublin on this new initiative.
