The Oireachtas Committee on Justice is meeting today to discuss the current bail laws in Ireland and possible reforms.  Last year, Senior Counsel Lorcan Staines, authored a report with fifteen recommended changes to our bail laws. Lorcan spoke to Anton this morning.

The Presidents of Ireland’s cancer care representative bodies, along with the Irish Cancer Society, are warning that key parts of the care system are struggling to keep pace. Speaking to Anton was Dr Michael McCarthy the President of the Irish Society for Medical Oncology and is a signatory on the joint letter.
