God can and often does use many different experiences in life to help us spiritually grow and produce good fruit. However, one thing is for certain. Spiritual growth comes through God’s word (the bible). Through God’s word, the Lord speaks and guides us today.

Healthy spiritual growth should be the pursuit of every follower of Jesus. But how is it pursued and what gains are there to be had? The answers are closer than you might think.

Rarely does anyone gather without a purpose. Even if the purpose is simply to hang out, the gathering still has a purpose. What is the purpose behind a church gathering? The answer may just cause you to rethink what you’ve always thought, and possibly reconsider what you’ve allowed to compete with church!

Hebrews 10:25 says, "Let us not give up meeting together!" Why is that? The list of reasons for why is quite long. Simply put, faithfulness in church attendance helps us grow more like Christ in more ways than one can imagine.

Just like an infant who craves its mother's milk for nourishment and growth, Christians crave the same kind of spiritual growth and nourishment from God's Word. The result is maturity in our faith and a deeper walk with Jesus! We were born to grow!

Psalm 133:1 says, "How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!" How true that is! God loves when individual believers and churches are unified. He describes beautifully how His blessings flow when unity is experienced. So, let us make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

God cares very much how we live our lives. Throughout the Bible, God reveals His point of view concerning our daily walk with Him. In the final sermon of our POV series, Pastor Joe will unpack how God desires us to live good lives with the end in mind. To walk daily with the Lord, knowing that our home is in heaven.

How does God want us to live our lives? What is His point of view on this question? The Bible is very clear and answers this question in many places—Perhaps none clearer than Micah 6:8. "And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

Mr. Rogers made the phrase "Won't you be my neighbor" famous. However, long before Mr. Rogers, the question "Who is my neighbor" was asked of Jesus. The way Jesus answered this specific question teaches us a valuable truth concerning God's point of view on how we are to live our lives.

"If you could say in one word what you want more of in life, what would that be?" How do you suppose God might answer this hypothetical question? In reality, the bible clearly tells us what God truly desires. He desires that everyone be saved. The challenge for Christians is this—do we desire it as strongly as God does?

What is God's point of view when it comes to us? How does God view us? These are foundational questions that must be answered if we're going to see things from God's point of view. Starting with the first chapter of the bible (Gen. 1) we begin to see God's point of view clearly about the people He has made.

How does God draw near today? In the Old Testament, it was through the tabernacle. Today, we draw near to God through Jesus Christ and through Jesus Christ alone. What God started with the Tabernacle, Jesus finished with the cross. The veil of separation has been torn away and God desires to commune with each of us individually.

When someone says “seal the deal” - we understand that to mean that an agreement has been reached and it’s time to sign the dotted line. In Exodus 23 and 24, God will seal the deal with the Israelites and the Old Covenant was born. A covenant built on trust and obedience. This covenant still has much to teach us today as followers of Christ!

In Exodus chapters 21-24, God will deliver the law. These laws will define the nature of their relationship and clarify how God expects the Israelites to deal with one another.
