This week we jump back into Exodus and look at the people of Israel coming into the presence of God. It is a fearful encounter that highlights the incompatibility of the people and their God. What is God trying to teach them about himself and how should we respond? Come this Sunday and find out!

This Sunday is the final Sunday of our Advent series from Isaiah 9:6: “His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” On this final week, we will focus on the fourth title, Prince of Peace. We will see that Jesus came to give the world peace with God, peace with each other, and peace in our hearts.

This week we are taking a break from our study in Exodus by looking at Jesus temptation in the wilderness. These verses show how even though Israel gave in to temptation in the wilderness Jesus remains faithful! As we continue our study of the book of Exodus we come to chapter 18, where Moses meets back with his father in-law Jethro who praises the Lord for His redemption of Israel and imparts valuable instruction. This week in our study of Exodus the Israelites are attacked by another nation called the Amalekites. Will Israel prevail against this ambush? Will the Lord protect His people? How do you respond to being thirsty? It's one thing to be "hangry"- angry over not eating- we saw that last week in Exodus 16. And we did see thirst already in Exodus 15. In our sermon series this week we will be in Exodus 15:1-21. Here Moses, Miriam, and the people sing a song of praise to the Lord because of how He freed Israel from slavery in Egypt. This week, we're at the climax of the story, the crossing of the Red Sea. The Israelites find themselves hemmed in- on one side is the dreaded sea and on the other, the Egyptian war machine is advancing bent on violence. And they're paralyzed with fear! This week we are taking a break in our study in Exodus to focus on the theme of unity. To do this we will answer a couple important questions like: what is the foundation for our unity as believers? And, when life within the body is difficult how do we maintain unity? As we will see, the foundation and sustaining source of our unity is found in Christ’s finished work on the cross.

This week we are back in the book of Exodus after a few weeks off. We jump back in at the climax of the tenth plague where all the firstborn in Egypt die. Here we will study the responses and see how God leads his people out of Egypt. We hope you will join us as we continue our study in Exodus and see how these verses encourage our faith in Christ! This week, as we continue in our sermon series in Exodus, we are going to stop to study an important biblical theme that begins in Exodus. The theme of redemption. We've been in the book of Exodus the last couple of months and last week we came to the final plague and at the center of it, is an innocent, helpless lamb. This week we'll take a break from Exodus and see that the Lamb is actually a key theme in scripture, from the Old Testament to the New Testament.  As John the Baptist exhorts us, come on Sunday and Behold the Lamb!

After studying plagues one through nine last week we now come to the tenth plague. Here God gives a warning about the final plague and how Israel can be protected from it.
