The start of Advent is here. Advent is a season of remembering and waiting with eager expectation for the unfolding of God's promises.

Life is short. We're all going to die someday. So how do we live well with the time that we're given?

Throughout the Bible, and throughout our lives, we will see nations and their rulers rise and fall. But how can we remain steady through it all?

James Bock will preach God's word and we will discover ways to respond in seasons of waiting. 

Who doesn't want to be wise? We will rediscover sources that help us live wisely in difficult times.

We may pray for miracles, but miss the wondrous things that God is doing in our lives now. We will explore a passage that will help us develop an eye for the miraculous.

There may be seasons in life, and certainly in New York City, when it seems as if our faith is no advantage to us. In fact, it may seem like a disadvantage. What will we do then?

An important election looms this November. People on all sides of the political aisle brace themselves for the outcome. But how can we be a hope-filled people amidst it all?

Guest Pastor Stephen Perumulla will speak to us about what it means to be a neighbor as it relates to the story of the Good Samaritan. 

What is power in New York City and how do you know if you have it? We will explore what it means to have power in the city.

How can we live boldly in a city that doesn't know nor share your faith? 

How can we remain faithful to God, experience his power, and hope in his promise amid personal and political turmoil? 

Has God turned away from us? Has He stopped paying attention? We will explore a psalm for the seasons in life when we feel forgotten by God.

Everyone needs shelter throughout life. We will explore the different kinds of shelter we seek, and what happens when we don't seek shelter in God.

Have you ever wanted someone to be your guide? The Bible promises us so much more. We will study a psalm that will encourage us whenever we long for a shepherd.

Have you ever wished someone would defend you when you've been wronged? What do we do when we need someone to speak for us? We will explore a psalm that will give us hope.

What do we do when we don’t feel like worshipping? Psalm 100 invites us to consider the goodness of God that swells up into thanksgiving. God invites us to enter into his presence, not based on our performance, but based on his steadfast love and faithfulness. 

How can we learn to be still despite all the chaos in the world and in our personal lives? We will explore a psalm that can help.

We are spending the summer in the psalms. This week we will explore a psalm for when we long for the approval of others.

Guest pastor Nick Nowalk will be preaching from Psalm 91 and answering the question...What, exactly, may we trust God  for  in the unknown future still to come?

Many of us know that we are here for a purpose, and many are still searching for it. We will see how the life and words of Jesus can guide us.

Jesus cares about our connection to each other. We will see how the relationships in a church exist for a purpose beyond itself.

What do we do when people oppose us because of our faith? We will see how to interpret and engage religious opposition.

We know we are called to love, but what if it feels impossible? We will see how Jesus addresses our concerns and calls us to love as he does.
